 48 ország állampolgárai vannak fogságban Ukrajnában, akik az Oroszországi Föderáció oldalán harcoltak, jelentette be április 29-én Dmitrij Uszov dandártábornok, a Hadifoglyok Bánásmódjával Foglalkozó Koordinációs Központ titkára egy rendezvényen, amelyen bemutatták a „Külföldi harcosok az orosz hadseregben: Hogyan állítsuk meg a globális toborzási rendszert” című jelentést, írta az Interfax-Ukrajina.
  
 
 „Jelenleg 48 ország állampolgárai vannak fogságban. Ez több száz, nem tucatnyi” – jegyezte meg.
 Uszov elmondása szerint a fogságban lévő állampolgárok legnagyobb részét olyan országok állampolgárai teszik ki, mint Tádzsikisztán, Üzbegisztán, Fehéroroszország, Kazahsztán, Azerbajdzsán, Nepál és Kirgizisztán.
 A Koordinációs Központ hangsúlyozta, hogy a külföldiek elfogásának dinamikája növekszik.

 A jelentés szerint Franciaország felszólította állampolgárait, hogy hagyják el Ukrajnát az EBESZ ukrajnai nyilatkozatai és a kelet-ukrajnai ütközővonal vonal mentén a helyzet gyors romlása miatt.
 A német Külügyminisztérium hasonló közleményt adott ki. „A német állampolgároknak azt tanácsoljuk, hogy most hagyják el Ukrajnát. Az Oroszország és Ukrajna közötti feszültség tovább nő az orosz katonai egységek Ukrajna határai közelében való tömeges jelenléte és mozgása miatt. A katonai konfliktus bármelyik pillanatban bekövetkezhet” – állította a német külügy.
