Két háromfős csoportot tartóztattak fel Moszkvában a vnukovói repülőtéren, a két csoport tagjai 45 aranyrudat akartak kivinni az országból – számolt be az MTI az orosz vámszolgálatra hivatkozva.
A rudak súlya elérte a 225 kilogrammot, az értékük pedig a 800 millió rubelt. A csempészek orosz és örmény állampolgárok voltak.
Az első csoportnak Moszkvából Jerevánba kellett volna repülnie a poggyászban és a kézipoggyászban szállított aranyrudakkal. Örményország az Eurázsiai Gazdasági Unió (EAEU) része, így az utasok számára nincs vámellenőrzés.
A második csoport, amely Dubajba tartott, a vámellenőrzésen üres bőröndökkel haladt át. A két társaság a beszállás előtt találkozott a reptér „semleges zónájában”, és kézipoggyászt cserélt, hogy az arany egy részét Dubajba juttassa.
Az örmény állampolgárokat őrizetbe vették, az oroszoknak pedig megtiltották az ország elhagyását. A gyanúsítottak ellen a stratégiailag fontos áruk csoportos csempészete miatt indult büntetőeljárás.

Egy dél-afrikai repülőtéren több mint hetven kilogramm aranyat találtak három madagaszkári férfi táskájában. A hatóságok most egy lehetséges nemzetközi csempészhálózat után kezdtek nyomozni.
Egy lehetséges nemzetközi csempészhálózat után kezd nyomozni a dél-afrikai rendőrség, miután a johannesburgi OR Tambo nemzetközi repülőtéren elfogtak három férfit, akiknek a csomagjaiban összesen 73,5 kilogrammnyi aranyrudat találtak – írja az ABC News.
A madagaszkári férfiak a biztonsági ellenőrzésen lettek gyanúsak a hatóságoknak, a csomagjuk átvizsgálása közben pedig előkerültek a körülbelül 4,1 millió amerikai dollárnak, vagyis több mint 115 millió hrivnyának megfelelő értékű aranyrudak, illetve némi deviza.
A gyanúsítottak átadták a rendőröknek az arany származását igazoló iratokat, a dél-afrikai hatóságok most az Interpol bevonásával próbálják kideríteni, honnan származnak a rudak. A helyi rendőrség szóvivője azt mondta, hogy a három férfi ellen pénzmosás és csalás miatt emelhetnek vádat.
A gyanúsítottak Madagaszkárból tartottak Dubajba Dél-Afrikán, illetve Etiópián keresztül.
