Az indiai hatóságok egy hete sikertelenül próbálkoznak kiszabadítani 41, a Himalájában beomlott autópálya-alagútban rekedt munkást. Most újabb öt tervvel álltak elő – számolt be az MTI.
Az ország északi részén található Uttarakhand államban november 12-én egy épülő autópálya-alagútban 41 férfi rekedt benn. A 4,5 kilométer hosszú vájat nagyjából 150 méteres szakasza omlott be. A munkások biztonságban vannak, egy csövön keresztül juttatnak el élelmiszert hozzájuk, emellett C-vitamint és gyógyszereket, köztük depresszió elleni tablettákat is kaptak. A baleset okát egyelőre nem tudni, de a hegyvidéki régióban rendszeresen fordulnak elő a földcsuszamlások, földrengések.
A mentőcsapatokban a kezdetekben vízszintesen fúrtak vájatot a törmeléken keresztül, de pénteken eltörött a fúrógép. A fúrást az új eszköz érkezéséig felfüggesztették. Bhaskar Hulbe, az alagútprojekt egyik ügyeletes tisztje arról beszélt, hogy még legalább négy-öt nap kell ahhoz, hogy „jó híreket” mondhassanak. Korábban a mentőegységek szóvivője azt mondta, hogy levegő van a föld alatt elég, de nehézséget okoz, hogy a mentés közben újabb falszakaszok omlanak le.
Az alagút bejáratánál várakoznak a munkások hozzátartozói és barátai is, akik egyre elkeseredettebbek, mert a jelentések szerint néhány munkás megbetegedett.
A Reuters azt írja, hogy a mentőcsapatok időközben már egyéb alternatívákat is mérlegelnek: egy merőleges alagút kialakítását is fontolóra vették, két javasolt útvonallal és egy 15 cm széles cső behelyezésével. Az egészségügyi minisztérium a helyszín közelében tábort állított fel az orvosi vizsgálatok elvégzésére, és 10 mentőautót tart készenlétben.

A hatóságok azt közölték, hogy a munkások biztonságban vannak, és egy csövön keresztül juttatnak el élelmiszert hozzájuk. A baleset okát egyelőre nem állapították meg, bár a hegyvidéki régió hajlamos a földcsuszamlásokra, földrengésekre és árvizekre.
A mentők vízszintesen fúrtak vájatot a törmeléken keresztül a 4,5 kilométeres alagútban rekedt munkások irányába, de pénteken eltört a fúrógép, és egy újat szállítottak a helyszínre.
A fúrást felfüggesztették, és még négy-öt napba telik, amíg „jó híreket kapunk” – mondta Bhaskar Hulbe, az alagútprojekt különleges ügyeletes tisztje.
