Egy fiatal orosz bokszolóra, Ilja Medvegyevre és társaira egy medve támadt rá horgászat közben. Az ökölvívó az egyik barátja életét megmentette, azonban saját arca súlyosan megsérült.
A Bors megírta, hogy a 23 éves orosz bokszoló az egyik tóparton horgászott, amikor őt és két társát egy hatalmas medve megtámadta. Az egyik halász, egy 48 éves férfi meghalt a támadás során, Medvegyev azonban nem veszítette el a lélekjelenlétét és a vadászkésével több szúrással megölte az agresszív fenevadat.
Az ökölvívó egy másik társa életét megmentette hősies védekezésével, ám a támadás során a medve súlyos sérüléseket okozott neki, ezért azonnal kórházba kellett szállítani.
A hírek szerint a fiatal bokszolóra arcrekonstrukciós műtétek várnak, amelyhez minden támogatást megad a Nemzetközi Ökölvívó Szövetség.
