Áradást okozott Dubajban a heves esőzés, a Dubaji nemzetközi repülőtéren akkora víz áll, hogy felfüggesztették az érkező járatok fogadását, azokat más reptereket irányítják át – írja a Reuters. Az induló járatok ugyanakkor továbbra is menetrendszerűen szállnak fel.



Az özönvízszerű jelenetekről videó is készült, az Al Arabiya az egyik, a repteren álló repülőgépről készített felvételt tett közzé. Ezen látszik, hogy még az induló járatoknak is nehezére esik a mély vízben haladni.









A közel-keleti országban egy nap alatt több eső esett, mint máskor egy év alatt – erről az AP írt. A vihar miatt az iskolák többségét bezárták az országban, a portál szerint legalább 18-an meghaltak a szélsőséges időjárás következtében.

Egy fekete Mercedes sofőrje behajtott Liverpool egyik elárasztott területére, melynek következtében két ember életét vesztette.



Az Independent a helyi rendőrség közlése nyomán számolt be arról, hogy két ember életét vesztette, miután egy autóval Liverpool egyik elárasztott területére hajtottak. A férfi és a nő egy fekete Mercedesben utazott szombat este, amikor Mossley Hillben a mély vízbe merültek.



A mentőszolgálatokat nem sokkal este fél 10 előtt értesítették, miután egy járókelő észrevette, hogy a víz alatt piros féklámpák világítanak. A helyszínre a mentők mellett rendőrök és tűzoltók is érkeztek, s együttes erővel kiemelték őket az autóból, ám a kórházban mindkettejüket halottnak nyilvánították.



Egy helyi lakos megosztotta, épp egy taxiban utazott, mely épphogy elkerülte, hogy szintén behajtson az elárasztott területre, ekkor észlelte a víz alatt világító lámpákat. Elmondása szerint akkor már koromsötét volt, s olyan mértékben zúdult le a víz a híd oldaláról, mintha „vízesés lett volna”:



„Ahogy visszanéztem az ablakon, a barátaimhoz fordultam, és azt mondtam nekik, hogy azt hiszem, vörös fényeket láttam a víz alatt, és arra gondoltam, hogy talán valaki elakadt. A biztonság kedvéért felhívtam a rendőrséget.”



A férfit és a nőt mostanra hivatalosan is azonosították, és értesítették hozzátartozóikat. Az aktát átadták a halottkémnek, aki felkérte a Merseyside-i rendőrséget az eset további kivizsgálására.

Emberek ezrei vesznek részt a stabilizációs intézkedésekben, amelyeket az ellenség támadásai szakítanak félbe. A mentőegységek a vizet szivattyúzzák, a közüzemi dolgozók csoportjai a településeket tisztítják, és állítják helyre az emberek számára az áram-, gáz- és vízellátást.



Herszon városát 12 szektorra osztották fel, ahol először a robbanásveszélyes tárgyakat szedik össze, majd a kommunális szolgáltatások alkalmazottai dolgoznak.



Speciális csoportok dokumentálják az épületekben keletkezett károkat. Eddig több mint 11 300 lakást és csaknem 1 000 magánházat ellenőriztek a Herszon régióban.



A rendőrség több mint 4000 állampolgári kárbejelentést regisztrált.
