Chiapas állam Biztonsági és Állampolgár-védelmi Titkársága arról tájékoztatott, hogy az elrabolt rendőrök valamennyien férfiak, és nagyszabású légi és földi rendőrségi művelet indult felkutatásukra.
A rendőrök Chiapas állam fővárosába tartottak egy teherautóval, amikor teherautókon érkező fegyveresek feltartóztatták őket.
A támadók a rendőrnőket elengedték, viszont az összes férfit magukkal hurcolták.

A 9 éve eltűnt 16 éves Pudga Haud végre hazatérhet otthonába.
A kislány 2013. január 22-én tűnt el, hétévesen Mumbaiban, egy iskola mellől rabolták el. Az információk szerint az elkövetők egy fagyival csalták közel magukhoz.
A kislányt augusztus 4-én találták meg, édesanyja a sajtónak elmondta, hogy már teljesen elvesztette a reményt.
Pudga elmondása szerint a pár először Goába, majd Karnatakába, India nyugat- és déli államaiba vitte. Megfenyegették, hogy bántalmazni fogják, ha sír, vagy felhívja magára a figyelmet.
Azt mondja, egy rövid ideig megengedték neki, hogy iskolába járjon, de miután a párnak saját gyermeke született, kivették az iskolából, és együtt Mumbaiba költöztek. Ekkortól rendszeresen bántalmazták is.
A ház, ahol a család lakott, nagyon közel volt a lány otthonához, de Pudga ismerte az utakat, mindig szemmel követték, nem volt pénze, telefonja, és nem tudott segítséget sem kérni.
Ám egy nap Pudga elvette a pár mobiltelefonját, mikor azok aludtak, és beírta a nevét a YouTube-ra. Videókat és plakátokat talált, amelyeken megemlítették az elrablását, valamint telefonszámokat, ahol segítséget hívhat. Végül a családnál dolgozó bébiszitter segített neki, azonban a szökési terv végrehajtásához 7 hónap kellett.
A dadussal felhívták Pudga édesanyját, aki úgy bizonyosodott meg arról, hogy a kislány valóban az ő gyermeke, hogy leellenőrizte, megvan-e az anyajegye, amiről csak ő tud. A kislányt nagy örömmel fogadták a szomszédok, rokonok, barátok. Bár a család előtt még hosszú út áll, míg lezárják az ügyet és mentálisan is helyreállnak, elmondták, hogy nem lehetnének ettől boldogabbak.

Az ENSZ Afganisztáni Segítő Missziója (UNAMA) azt gyanítja, hogy Tamana Zarjábi Parjanit és Parvana Ibrahimhelt a tálibok rabolták el szerda éjjel.
Azóta a közösségi médiában kering egy felkavaró videofelvétel, amelyen Parjani segítséget kér, miközben magukat a tálib hírszerzés embereinek mondó férfiak kopogtatnak az ajtaján. Utána megszakadt vele minden kapcsolat. Ibrahimhel ugyanazon az éjszakán tűnt el. Mindkettőről ismert, hogy rendszeresen tiltakoztak a tálib hatalom ellen az iszlamisták tavaly augusztusi hatalomra kerülése óta.
A tálibok tagadják, hogy őrizetbe vették volna a két nőt, állításuk szerint a videofelvétel hamis”– közölte az UNAMA.
A dpa hírügynökség megjegyezte, hogy a tálibok hatalomra kerülésük óta számos olyan intézkedést vezettek be, amelyek korlátozzák a nők és a lányok jogait, sőt, ha tüntettek ezek ellen, akkor a demonstrálókat őrizetbe vették, megverték, fenyegették. Arról is keringenek információk, hogy egyes nők végleg eltűnnek, meggyilkolják őket, és ezért senkit nem vonnak felelősségre.

Az első nyomozati eredmények szerint feltehetőleg emberrablókról van szó, akik váltságdíjat akarnak kicsikarni. Hasonló atrocitásokat azonban a Boko Haran iszlamista terrorszervezet is elkövetett már a múltban.

Az emberek támogatásának és szavazatainak a megszerzése volt a célja annak a demokrata párti polgármester jelöltnek, aki eljátszotta a saját elrablását. Sabrina Belcher ellen a rendőrség eljárást indított összeesküvés miatt, illetve azért is, mert hamisan jelentette be a rendőrségnek az elrablását – olvasható a V4NA nemzetközi hírügynökség honlapján.
A demokrata párti Belchert összeesküvéssel és hamis rendőri bejelentéssel vádolják.
Az incidens kedden történt, amikor a nő egy élő Facebook videóban közvetítette azt, amint a beszámolója szerint egy ismeretlen férfi először megtámadta, majd elrabolta egy rablási kísérlet során.
Később kiderült, a férfi James Eaddy, akivel már napokkal korábban találkozott a nő, hogy kiterveljék az elrablást. A férfit szintén megvádolták.
A rendőrfőnök, Russell Roark közleménye szerint Sabrina Belcher csupán zavart akart kelteni a közösségben, hogy azt később a saját előnyére fordítsa. A támadást pedig csak azért játszotta el, hogy hírnevet szerezzen magának, illetve támogatást és szavazatokat kapjon az emberektől a novemberi választáson.
Sumter városában már 20 éve Joseph T. McElveen Jr. a polgármester, ő azonban bejelentette, hogy idén nem indul újra a pozícióért. A helyére jelenleg hatan pályáznak, köztük Sabrina Belcher is, aki az első fekete bőrű női vezetője lenne a városnak.
A mostani incidens azonban ronthat Belcher esélyein, ráadásul a rendőrség arra is rájött, hogy a demokrata párti nő be akart feketíteni más jelölteket a választás előtt. Az áltámadásról szóló videóban is azt lehet hallani, hogy Belcher egy másik társát próbálja meg rossz hírbe hozni.
