Ukrajnában több mint hétezer katonát tekintenek eltűntnek, egy részük fogságban van – közölte hétfőn Oleh Kotenko, a különleges körülmények között eltűnt személyek ügyeivel foglalkozó biztos egy interjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Kotenko a Szuszpilne televíziónak nyilatkozva elmondta: „ha már a hadseregről beszélünk, akkor értsük meg, kik is a katonák. Vannak a fegyveres erők, a Nemzeti Gárda, a határőrség, az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU), amelyek különböző intézmények. Az ő munkatársaik nincsenek benne a fegyveres erők által közölt adatokban. Ezek kétezer eltűnt katonáról közölnek információkat. A mi telefonközpontunkban megközelítőleg 7200 főről tudnak.”
A biztos szerint az Azov ezredben és a Nemzeti Gárdában is vannak eltűnt személyek. Nem vették fel a kapcsolatot a hozzátartozóikkal, amikor elhagyták Azovsztalt. Ugyanakkor hozzátette, hogy az eltűnt katonák többsége fogságban van. Példaként a 36. dandár 1. zászlóaljának katonáit hozta fel, akik az agresszor ország területén tartózkodhatnak.
„Tudjuk, hogy Oroszországba vitték őket. Először is meg kell tudnunk, hányan vannak. Ha száznál többen, akkor tudjuk, hogy szinte az egész zászlóalj fogságban van. Még mindig nincs kapcsolat velük, így ők is eltűntnek minősülnek. Előbb-utóbb felkerülnek a cserelistára, és hazatérnek. Ez az a helyzet, amikor biztosan tudjuk, hogy az eltűntek életben vannak” – magyarázta Oleh Kotenko.
