 A Magyar Nemzet a Politico információját idézve írta meg, hogy a brüsszeli korrupciós botrányban súlyosan érintett Európai Parlamenti képviselőhöz köthető három athéni ingatlant szállták meg a görög és a belga hatóságok.
 Azt is írják, hogy a házkutatások során számítógépeket és mobiltelefonokat foglaltak le. Az ellene zajló nyomozás ellenére a görög politikusnak megengedte a bíróság, hogy visszatérjen a munkahelyére. Ennek megfelelően Kaili Brüsszelben egy kisebb irodát is kap, néhány emelettel lejjebb a korábbi alelnöki irodájától.
