Lángok csaptak fel kedd este egy luxusszálloda tetőszerkezetéből a francia Alpok egyik legexkluzívabb síparadicsomában, Courchevelben. Mintegy 270 embert kellett kimenekíteni, miközben 150 tűzoltó küzd a lángokkal.
Tűz ütött ki kedd este egy luxusszállodában a franciaországi Courchevel 1850 síközpontban, Savoie megyében. Szerda reggel a tűzoltók még mindig a lángokkal küzdöttek, miközben körülbelül 300 embert kellett elővigyázatosságból kimenekíteni.
A tűz kedd este, nem sokkal 19 óra előtt ütött ki a Les Grandes Alpes ötcsillagos szálloda tetőszerkezetében, amely Courchevel 1850-ben található. Ez a síközpont ismert luxusüzleteiről, gasztronómiai éttermeiről és mintegy húsz 4–5 csillagos palotaszállodájáról.
Körülbelül 150 tűzoltót és 44 járművet vezényeltek a helyszínre. A tűz keletkezésének oka egyelőre ismeretlen.

A Les Grandes Alpes Hotel vezetése közölte a tűzoltókkal, hogy az evakuálással mindenkit kimenekítettek, így valószínűleg nincsenek halálos áldozatok. Négy tűzoltó viszont könnyebben megsérült a műveletben.
Összesen 270 embert kellett kimenekíteni: először 83 lakót a Grandes Alpes-ból, majd körülbelül 190-et a szomszédos Lana szállodából.
A Le Parisien szerint a tűz sokat terjedt az éjszaka alatt a tűzoltók erőfeszítései ellenére. A beavatkozást a tető szerkezete nehezíti: „Nagyon nehéz elérni a lángokat, amelyek a kőlapokból és fémlemezekből álló tető alatt futnak. A köveket le kell bontani, a lemezeket pedig át kell vágni, mielőtt hozzá lehetne férni a tűzhöz” – magyarázta Bruno Charlot, Albertville járás alprefektusa.
A tetőn lévő vastag hóréteg sem könnyíti meg a helyzetet. Bruno Charlot szerint órákba telik, mire a tüzet eloltják. Ezt követően nagy munka lesz a helyszín biztosítása, minden olyan anyag eltávolításával, amely lezuhanhat.
A lángok átterjedtek a szomszédos Lana szállodára. A tűzoltók erőfeszítései ellenére a tűz még mindig fenyegeti a szomszédos faházakat, ahogy Jean-Yves Pachod, Courchevel polgármestere magyarázta: „Bonyolult, mert az üdülőhely központjában vagyunk, és minden egymáshoz közel van.”

Egy 62 éves brit nő életét vesztette, miután egy délkelet-franciaországi síterep fekete pályáján összeütközött egy, a pályán álldogáló férfival. A nő traumás sokkot kapott, és a sürgősségi orvosok már nem tudták megmenteni, írja egy francia hírportálra hivatkozva a Guardian.

Az elsodort emberek a kijelölt pályán kívül síeltek csütörtökön Saint-Gervais-les-Bains üdülőhelyen, mintegy 2300 méteres magasságban, amikor a szerencsétlenség történt – közölte Haute-Savoie megye önkormányzata.
A nagy erőkkel kivonuló mentők egy férfit és egy nőt holtak találtak, egy harmadik síelő sérülésekkel megúszta a lavinát, további öt embert épségben mentettek ki.
Saint-Gervais polgármestere szerint a labilis időjárás „nem volt alkalmas” a kockázatos elkalandozásra a kijelölt pályákról, meleg volt, hol eső, hol hó esett.
Az Écrins-hegységben a mélybe zuhant és életét vesztette egy 31 éves túrázó, aki ugyancsak letért a kijelölt túraútvonalról, hogy közelebbről megnézzen havasi kecskéket.

A diákokat szállító busz eddig tisztázatlan körülmények között letért az útról és egy patakba zuhant az Alpokban. A sofőr és egy másik felnőtt súlyosan megsérült. Szerencsére minden diáknak be volt kapcsolva a biztonsági öve, ezért könnyebb sérülésekkel megúszták, de így is 18 gyereket el kellett látni a mentőknek, négy gyereket pedig kórházba is szállítottak.
A hatóságok szerint az időjárás jó volt és az útviszonyok is kielégítőek voltak.
A polgármester szerint a valószínűleg a sofőr rosszul lett a volán mögött.
A gyerekek egy táborból tértek vissza Hautes-Alpesből és Grenoble állomás felé tartottak, amikor a baleset történt.
A baleset helyszíne, a Route Napoléon, egy nagyon meredek országút, amely Grenoble-t Gappel-lel köti össze. Veszélyességéről ismert úton gyakoriak a halálos balesetek.

A kislány, Ophélie négy másik gyerekkel együtt vett részt az Ecole du Ski Français (ESF) síiskola által szervezett csoportos síoktatáson, így a gyerekek egy rendezett sorban álltak az oktató mögött, a pálya szélénél.
Ekkor egy másik síelő, egy 40 éves férfi teljes sebességgel belerohant a kislányba és elgázolta. A mentőhelikopteren többször is megpróbálták újraéleszteni, de a kórházba szállítás során életét vesztette.
A Daily Mail cikkéből kiderül, hogy a balesetet okozó helyi férfit a rendőrség már őrizetbe vette, és emberölés miatt nyomozást indítottak ellene. Amennyiben bizonyításra kerül a bűnössége, akár öt év börtön és pénzbírság is várhat rá.

A prefektúra tájékoztatása szerint az első lavina Valloire síparadicsoma mellett történt dél körül, ahol négy túrázó vesztette életét. Három másik ember pedig a Mont Pourri nevű hegyen bekövetkezett szerencsétlenségben halt meg délután.
A prefektúra figyelmeztetett, hogy a múlt heti erőteljes havazást követően az eheti enyhe időjárás különösen kedvez a lavinák kialakulásának, s ezért minden túrázót, síelőt és másokat is arra kértek, hogy legyenek nagyon óvatosak.

A francia alpokbeli Écrins-hegységben Grenoble-tól délkeletre három síelő szenvedett halálos balesetet Gap városának ügyészsége szerint. A hegyi túravezető és két turista 400 métert zuhant a mélybe, amikor 3700 méteren bekövetkezett a hóomlás.
A helyi sajtó szerint a térségben fokozott lavinariasztást adtak ki korábban. Az Ailefroide hegyen egy négy fős csoportot rántott magával a hótömeg, ketten közülük életüket vesztették, egy síelő pedig eltörte a karját.
Egy harmadik lavina Valjouffrey település mellett zúdult le három embert sodorva el. Egyikük súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett.
Franciaországban a koronavírus-járvány miatt nem üzemelnek a síliftek. Sok tapasztalatlan ember ezért gyalogszerrel vág neki a sípályáknak. Az idei év kezdete óta már számos baleset történt, mind a Francia Alpokban, mind pedig a Pireneusokban.
