Az ukrán vezérkar péntek reggel cáfolta, hogy Ukrajna követte volna el az Oroszország Kurszki területén található szudzsai gázszivattyú- és mérőállomás elleni támadást; szerintük orosz hamis zászlós műveletről van szó.
Facebook-oldalán az ukrán vezérkar azt írta: Az Oroszországi Föderáció fokozza az Ukrajna elleni lejárató kampányát. Az ellenség most azzal vádolja az Ukrán Védelmi Erőket, hogy lőtték a szudzsai gázmérő állomást. Ezek a vádak alaptalanok. Éppen ellenkezőleg, az említett állomást maguk az oroszok lőtték többször is.
Korábban ukrán médiajelentések írtak arról, hogy támadás érte az Európába gázt szállító vezeték egyik kompresszorállomását. A robbanásról és a tűzről videófelvételek is terjednek a közösségi médiában.
A szudzsai állomás volt az egyetlen pont, amelyen keresztül az orosz gáz Ukrajnán át Európába jutott, egészen addig, amíg Ukrajna idén januárban úgy döntött, nem hajlandó meghosszabbítani a tranzitmegállapodást.
Így gáz azon a vezetéken keresztül már nem jött Európába.
Szudzsa városát és a gázvezetéket még tavaly augusztusban foglalta el Ukrajna a kurszki offenzíva során, de múlt héten az orosz erők visszafoglalták.
