A Munkácsi járási rendőrség 1. számú osztályának munkatársai azonnal megkezdték a keresést. A nyomozás során megállapították, hogy a gázolást feltehetően egy Volkswagen Golf okozta. Az autót a falu határán kívüli mezőn találták meg, a balesetre jellemző sérülésekkel. A jármű vezetőjét szintén azonosították és letartóztatták.
Az elütött 34 éves kerékpáros súlyos sérülésekkel került kórházba, állapota továbbra is válságos.
A nyomozás folytatódik. Az esetről a Kárpátaljai Megyei Rendőrség számolt be.
