 Az Egyesült Államokhoz tartozó sziget számos lakója pedig áram nélkül maradt. A tájfun emellett háztetőket szakított le, fákat tört ki és autókat fordított fel.
 Guam kormányzója videóüzenetében arra kérte a sziget 150 ezer lakosát, hogy maradjanak otthon, és ne üljenek autóba az erős szél miatt. 
 2002 óta ez volt a legerősebb tájfun, mely Guamot sújtotta.
