Október 6-án Izrael hadserege egy új harci műveletbe kezdett a Gázai övezetben, Jabalia városánál. A hírt a Times of Israel közölte.







A közlemény szerint az izraeli hadsereg körbevette a várost, miután hírt kaptak a Hamász harcosairól és a térség infrastruktúrájáról. Ezt követően légicsapások és tüzérségi támadások hullámát hajtották végre, amelyek több tucat Hamász-létesítmény ellen irányultak. Ezek között vannak fegyverraktárak, alagutak, militáns cellák és egyéb infrastrukturális létesítmények.



Az IDF hangsúlyozta, hogy a művelet addig fog tartani, ameddig szükséges.

A török hadsereg hadműveletet indított Észak-Irakban kurd fegyveresek ellen – jelentette be szerdán Ankara.



A török védelmi minisztérium Twitteren megjelent közleménye szerint azután indítottak hadműveletet a török határtól mintegy 15 kilométerre lévő Haftanin térségében, hogy a kurdok heves tüzérségi támadásnak vetették alá határ mentén lévő török katonai bázisokat.



A levegőből indított török offenzívában a hadsereg kommandósai vesznek részt, harci repülőgépek és helikopterek, tüzérségi lövegek, fegyveres és fegyvertelen drónok nyújtanak nekik támogatást.



A tárca tájékoztatójában nem szerepel az, hogy hány török katonát vetettek be a törökországi kurd kisebbség függetlenségéért harcoló Kurdisztáni Munkáspárt (PKK) fegyveresei ellen Észak-Irakban.



1984 óta harcolnak a törökök ellen. Ez már a második ilyen művelet a héten. Az előző során az iraki-iráni határon fekvő Kandil-hegység környékén csaptak le a török erők.



A térségben található a PKK iraki főhadiszállása,
amelyet gyakran vesz célba a török hadsereg. Ankara a szélsőségesek fokozott támadásaival indokolta a két legújabb hadműveletet, amelyekre jogos önvédelemként tekint.



Bagdad bírálta a műveleteket, amelyek szerinte sértik Irak szuverenitását és a nemzetközi jogot. A török nagykövetet kedden bekérették a történtek miatt az iraki külügyminisztériumba.



A PKK-t Ankara, az Egyesült Államok és az Európai Unió is terrorszervezetként tartja nyilván. A kurdok 1984 óta folytatnak fegyveres felkelést az ankarai kormány ellen, a konfliktusban több mint negyvenezren vesztették életüket.
