Péntekre virradóra felborult és elsüllyedt egy halászhajó a dél-koreai Dzsedzsu-sziget partjainál. A balesetben legalább két ember életét vesztette, 12-en pedig eltűntek – közölte a parti őrség.
A jelentés szerint a közelben tartózkodó halászhajóknak a szigettől 24 kilométerre északnyugatra elsüllyedt jármű 27 fős legénységének 13 tagját sikerült élve kimenteniük a vízből, további két embert partra szállításuk után halottnak nyilvánítottak.

Fotó: AFP A 129 tonnás hajó csütörtökön éjjel indult útnak a szigetről, hogy makrélákat halásszon, a parti őrség péntek hajnalban kapott vészjelzést a mentést végző egyik halászhajótól.
A dél-koreai parti őrség, a rendőrség, a tűzoltóság és a hadsereg legalább 11 hajóját és kilenc repülőgépét vetették be a túlélők keresésére, a kutatáshoz 13 civil hajó is csatlakozott.

Egy orosz hadihajó figyelmeztető lövést adott le norvég halászokra, és arra kényszerítette őket, hogy elhagyják a területet.
Az Okean–2024 orosz hadgyakorlaton a Barents-tengeren az Admiral Levchenko romboló figyelmeztető lövést adott le egy norvég halászhajóra. Az eset szeptember 12-én történt a Varanger-félszigettől északra, Norvégia kizárólagos gazdasági övezetében. Erről a The Barents Observer számolt be szeptember 23-án, hétfőn.
A Ragnhild Kristine halászhajó legénysége rádióutasítást kapott, hogy hagyja el a területet, de a halászfelszerelések visszaszerzésének szükségességére hivatkozva elutasították azt. Ezt követően egy orosz hadihajó figyelmeztető lövést adott le, megijesztve a halászokat.
A norvég halászok elhagyták a területet, az esetre reagált a norvég parti őrség, s hangsúlyozták, hogy a hajóknak nem kell elhagyniuk a gazdasági övezetet az orosz gyakorlatok miatt.

A CCTV televízió szerint a baleset kedd hajnalban, 3 óra körül történt. A legénységben 17 kínai, 17 indonéziai és öt Fülöp-szigeteki állampolgár van − közölte az AP hírügynökség.
Hszi Csin-ping kínai államfő és Li Csiang miniszterelnök utasította a külföldön tartózkodó kínai diplomatákat, valamint a mezőgazdasági és a közlekedési minisztériumot, hogy segítsenek a túlélők felkutatásában.
A kínai jelentések nem határozták meg az incidens pontos helyét, csak azt, hogy a Dél-Ázsiától és az Arab-félszigettől Kelet-Afrikáig és Ausztrália nyugati részéig húzódó hatalmas Indiai-óceán közepén történt.
A Fülöp-szigeteki parti őrség parancsnoki központja szerdán közölte, hogy figyelemmel kíséri a helyzetet, és egyeztet a manilai kínai nagykövetséggel, valamint a hajó utolsó ismert tartózkodási helye közelében működő kutató- és mentőcsapatokkal.
Kína vélhetően a világ legnagyobb halászflottáját üzemelteti. Sokan közülük hónapokig vagy akár évekig is a tengeren maradnak, kínai állami tengerbiztonsági ügynökségek és a támogató hajók kiterjedt hálózata által kiszolgálva.
Az elsüllyedés okáról nem közöltek semmit, bár az időjárás gyakran szerepet játszik az ilyen tragédiákban.
Mianmarban és Bangladesben jelenleg is folynak a helyreállítási munkálatok, miután az Indiai-óceán északi részén, a Bengáli-öböl mentén egy erős ciklon csapott le a partjaikra, amely nagymértékű pusztítást és legalább 21 halálos áldozatot követelt, több százan pedig eltűntek.

Kigyulladt egy orosz halászhajó a dél-koreai Ulsan város közelében, négy tengerész életét vesztette – számolt be pénteken a parti őrségre hivatkozva a Yonhap hírügynökség.
A fedélzeten összesen 25 ember tartózkodott, valamennyien orosz állampolgárok voltak. A dél-koreai hatóságok 21 embert mentettek ki, közülük 19-en épségben megúszták, ketten könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedtek.
A tűz helyi idő szerint 00:43-kor ütött ki, a 769 tonnás hajó, amely 100 tonna tengeri halat szállított, Oroszországba tartott. A vészjelzés beérkezése után a dél-koreai parti őrség mentőhajót küldött.
A koreai fél most jelentette, hogy négy eltűntnek hitt orosz tengerész – egy rangidős kapitányhelyettes, egy szakács és két matróz – holttestét találták meg a hajó fedélzetén – mondta egy szóvivő.

Az amerikai haditengerészet az Ománi-öbölben lekapcsoltak egy halászhajót, amely több mint kétezer AK-47-es gépkarabélyt szállított Iránból Jemen felé.
A hajót még január 6-án kapcsolta le az amerikai haditengerészet, a fedélzeten hat jemeni állampolgár volt. A fegyverekre a USS Chinook part menti járőrhajó haditengerészei bukkantak rá, majd a USS Monsoon és a USS The Sullivans rombolók segítségével foglalták le – közölte a Reuters.
A fegyverek lefoglalását a haditengerészet központi parancsnoksága is megerősítette honlapján, összesen 2116 AK-47-est találtak a halászhajón.
A haditengerészek által feltartóztatott hajó olyan útvonalon haladt, amelyet régóta használnak arra a helyi csempészek, hogy különböző illegális rakományokat szállítsanak a jemeni húti vezetésnek. Ez a tevékenység nemcsak törvénytelen, hanem sérti a nemzetközi jogot is.
Ez a szállítmány az Iránból érkező folyamatos destabilizáló tevékenységek része. Ezek a fenyegetések felkeltették a figyelmünket. Nagy mennyiségű gépkarabélyt és lőszert foglalt le az amerikai haditengerészet az Arab-tengeren egy halászhajón, amely valószínűleg a polgárháborús Jemenbe akarta csempészni a hadianyagot – közölte szerdán az amerikai haditengerészet Bahreinben állomásozó Ötödik Flottája.
A közlemény szerint a felségjel nélküli hajóra egy hétfőn kezdődött, az ománi és a pakisztáni partoknál zajló járőrözéskor csaptak le, és mintegy 1400 Kalasnyikov-gépkarabélyt és 226 600 lőszert foglaltak le.
A hajón öttagú jemeni legénység tartózkodott.
A közleményben azt írták, hogy a fegyvereket és lőszert Irán küldte a nemzetközileg elismert jemeni kormány ellen harcoló húsziknak, hozzátéve, hogy a lázadóknak nyújtott fegyveres támogatás megsérti az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának vonatkozó határozatait és az amerikai szankciókat is.
Jemen rosszul őrzött kikötőibe évek óta csempésznek fegyvereket.
A nyugati országok és ENSZ-szakértők szerint Irán látja el fegyverekkel a húszikat, ezt azonban Teherán többször tagadta.
Az ötödik flotta azt is közölte, hogy idén több mint 8700 fegyvert foglalt le az általa ellenőrzött 2,5 millió négyzetmérföldes területen, beleértve a stratégiai fontosságú Vörös-tengert és a Perzsa(Arab)-öböl térségét is.Jemenben 2014 augusztusa óta dúl polgárháború az Irán által támogatott húszi síita felkelők és a rijádi száműzetésben élő Abed Rabbó Manszúr Hádi jemeni elnökhöz hű erők között. Utóbbiakat 2015 óta támogatja a Szaúd-Arábia által vezetett koalíció.

Egy halászhajóról ragadta el a cápa a tízéves fiút pénteken Tasmania partjainál.
A gyermek apjának köszönheti az életét, aki „azonnal a vízbe ugrott, mire a tengeri ragadozó elúszott” – közölte a mentőszolgálat. Az illetékesek hozzátették, hogy a fiú a karján, a mellkasán és a fején sérült meg, kórházban ápolják, állapota stabil.
A fiú mentőmellényt viselt a hat méter hosszú hajón, ahol apja és két másik férfi társaságában halászott mintegy öt kilométerre a sziget partjaitól, amikor a cápa elragadta és a vízbe rántotta.
Ausztráliában, ahol a világon az egyik leggyakoribbak a cápatámadások, idén öt embert ölt meg a tengeri ragadozó. Legutóbb múlt héten egy 15 éves fiú vesztette életét cápatámadásban Ausztrália keleti partjainál. Kedden pedig egy nő szenvedett súlyos sérüléseket cápatámadásban a Nagy-korallzátony közelében.
