Egy orosz bíróság hazaárulás miatt 14 év börtönbüntetésre ítélte a Group-IB orosz kiberbiztonsági vállalat egykori vezetőjét és alapítóját, Ilja Szacskovot szerdán.
A 37 éves vádlott tagadta bűnösségét.
A férfit – aki a vád szerint külföldi hírszerző szolgálatokkal működött együtt – 2021 szeptemberében tartóztatta le az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB).
Volt kollégái, akik felvásárolták és átnevezték a Group-IB orosz ágát, közleményükben azt írták: Szacskov jogi csapata fellebbez a döntés ellen, és Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök közbenjárását fogja kérni.
Szacskov elfogásakor a Group-IB online csalásokkal, kibertámadások észlelésével és megakadályozásával, valamint az interneten elérhető szellemi tulajdon védelmével foglalkozott.
