Elhunyt Christian Oliver, a Cobra 11 német televíziós akciófilm-sorozat sztárja egy repülőgép-szerencsétlenségben Saint Vincent és a Grenadine-szigeteken – közölte a szigetország rendőrsége pénteken. A tájékoztatás szerint a német színész egy egymotoros magánrepülőgép fedélzetén csütörtökön „néhány pillanattal a felszállást követően” zuhant a tengerbe. Oliver tíz és tizenkét éves lánya, valamint a pilóta is életét vesztette a tragédiában. A rendőrség közölte, hogy a kisgép Bequia szigetéről indult és Saint Lucia szigete felé tartott volna.
Halászok, búvárok és a parti őrség egységei siettek a baleset helyszínére, de már csak a négy holttestet sikerült kiemelniük a tengerből. Az 51 éves színész családja éppen nyaralt. A megelőző nap Oliver az Instagramon fényképet tett közzé egy tropikus strandról, és azt írta hozzá, hogy „Üdvözlet valahonnan a paradicsomból! A közösségre és a szeretetre… 2024 jövünk!”.
A Christian Klepser néven született színész több mint 60 mozifilmben, illetve televíziós produkcióban szerepelt. Ismertté a Cobra 11 akciósorozattal vált, amelynek két évadjában szerepelt. Kisebb szerepekben hollywoodi produkciókban is feltűnt, így például George Clooney oldalán A jó németben és Tom Cruise oldalán a Valkűrben, valamint a Speed Racer – Totál turbó című filmben.
