A kahkovszki vízerőmű gátjának június 6-i felrobbantása késleltette az Ukrán Fegyveres Erők erőinek átkelését a Dnyeperen, amely a front más szektoraiban folyó ellentámadási műveleteket hivatott támogatni – írja az Unian ukrán hírügynökség.
Amint arról az ISW elemzői jelentésükben beszámolnak, az Ukrán Fegyveres Erők októberi hadműveletei a Herszon régió keleti partján más irányból is visszahúzták az orosz erőket. Hasonló vagy még jobb hatást értek volna el az ellentámadás júniusi kezdetén, de a helyzetet befolyásolta a kakhovszki vízerőmű megsemmisítése.
Megjegyzendő, hogy az ukrán katonai különleges erők nemrég az Associated Pressnek adott interjúban azt mondták, hogy 2023 májusának végén készülnek átkelni a Dnyeperen. A vízerőmű gátjának lerombolása és az azt követő árvíz a régióban késleltette ezeket a terveket.
Az elemzők kifejtik, hogy az orosz parancsnokság nem valószínű, hogy 2023 júniusában egy ukrán átkelés esetén ezeket az elemeket áthelyezné Herszonból. Az ukrán ellentámadásban tehát a vízerőmű megsemmisítése is szerepet játszott.
16-ra emelkedett a Kahovkai Vízerőműben elkövetett robbantás eddig ismertté vált halálos áldozatainak száma – közölte vasárnap az belügyminisztérium.
A tárca közleményében hozzátette, hogy jelenleg még 31 eltűntet tartanak nyilván. Az elhunytak közül 14-en Herszon megyében, ketten a szomszédos mikolajivi régióban vesztették életüket. A robbantás utáni árvíz miatt még mindig 1300 ház van elárasztva, ebből 1274 Herszon és 26 Mikolajiv megyében.
A katasztrófa sújtotta területekről 3614 embert menekítettek ki az ukrán hatóságok, köztük 474 gyereket és 80 mozgáskorlátozottat. Az ukrán rendőrség több mint 4800 állampolgári nyilatkozatot fogadott el anyagi károkról, valamint 13,5 ezer lakást és házat ellenőriztek – fejtette ki a minisztérium.

Ruszlan Sztrilec, Ukrajna környezetvédelmi minisztere elmondta, hogy az Ukrajna Állami Felügyelőségének becslései szerint a kahovkai gát felrobbanása miatti esetleges vadállomány-veszteséget már most több mint 883 millió hrivnyára becsülik. A miniszter szerint ezek az adatok nem véglegesek.
Sztrilec megjegyezte, hogy az oroszok a szaporodás időszakában követték el a bűncselekményt. Sok állatnak még nem volt ideje megszületni, de már megfosztották az élet lehetőségétől.

A tisztviselő elmondta, hogy az infravörös érzékelőkkel felszerelt műholdak olyan hőtani jelenséget észleltek, amely egy nagyobb robbanásra utal, közvetlenül azelőtt, hogy a gát összeomlott, és hatalmas árvizet szabadított el a Dnyeper-folyón.
