Rakétákkal lőtték vasárnap reggel az orosz csapatok az Ivano-Frankivszki repülőteret, a harmadik légi csapás következtében szinte teljesen megsemmisült a létesítmény – közölte Ruszlan Marcinkiv, a város polgármestere egy televíziós nyilatkozatban, adta hírül az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál.
A jelentés szerint a városvezető a nemzeti televízióban elmondta, hogy az orosz megszállók „teljesen szétrombolják a repülőtéri infrastruktúránkat, ami majdnem teljesen megsemmisült.” Hozzátette, hogy a mostani már a harmadik támadás volt a repülőtér ellen. Hangsúlyozta, „az ellenség most a repülőteret lövi célzottan. Az előzetes információk szerint a támadásnak szerencsére nincsenek halálos áldozatai.”
Mint Marcinkiv rámutatott, „az ellenség további pánikot akar kelteni, ezért lövi Nyugat-Ukrajnát, lövi a nyugati városokat, mert tudja, hogy ma Ivano-Frankivszk, Lemberg és Ternopil megyék jelentik Ukrajnának azt a hátországát, ahová nagyon sok ember költözik át, ezért akarnak pánikot kelteni.”
A polgármester megjegyezte, hogy ezúttal „majdnem 2,5 órán keresztül tartott a légiriadó, majd miután elhallgattak a szirénák, rá 10 perccel elkezdtek becsapódni a rakéták. Egyúttal közölte, hogy a mostani a második alkalom, amikor légoltalmi rendszer nem jelezte a támadást. A lakosságtól azt kérte, hogy ne tegyenek közzé információkat a robbanások helyéről a közösségi oldalakon, ne segítsenek az ellenségnek.
