A jelentés szerint a rendőrség arról tájékoztatott, hogy péntek délelőtt az egyik temető látogatói jelentették a sír- és fejfarongálást. Megállapították, hogy az elkövető több mint 70 civil és katonasírt rongált meg. Sírköveket, kereszteket tört össze, letépte az elhunytak képeit, a zászlókat, zászlórudakat.
A rendőrök azonosították a bűncselekmény elkövetőjét. Kiderült, hogy egy 37 éves férfi volt, akit egy órán belül elfogtak egy helyi parkban. A férfi a cselekmény indítékait nem tudta megmagyarázni, állítása szerint nem emlékszik a történtekre, mivel ittas állapotban volt.
