Rakétatalálat ért kedden egy máltai lobogó alatt közlekedő teherhajót, miközben észak felé tartott a Vörös-tengeren, és 76 tengeri mérföldre északnyugatra járt a jemeni Szalif kikötőjétől – közölte az Ambrey nevű, hajózási biztonsággal foglalkozó brit vállalat és a görög hajózási minisztérium.
A görög tulajdonban lévő, Zografia nevű hajó Vietnamból Izraelbe tartott 24 fős legénységével, amikor megtámadták, de a görög hajózási minisztériumból származó tájékoztatás szerint személyi sérülés nem történt, rakomány pedig nincs a hajón. A jármű tudta folytatni az útját.
„Sérültek nincsenek, csak anyagi kár keletkezett” – közölte a görög minisztériumi forrás.

Az Ambrey vállalat egy tanácsadói közleményben számolt be a rakétatámadásról.
A nemzetközi tengeri kereskedelemben kommunikációs szerepet vállaló brit kormányhivatal (UKMTO) pedig arról számolt be, hogy jelentést kapott egy incidensről, amely körülbelül száz tengeri mérföldre történt Szaliftól északnyugatra.
