Franciaország helyi és központi hatóságainak, valamint Ukrajna nagykövetségének és konzulátusának képviselői a buszbaleset helyszínén dolgoznak, amelyben három honfitársunk vesztette életét, közölte Ukrajna franciaországi rendkívüli és meghatalmazott nagykövete, Vadim Omelcsenko, egyben ismertette a tragédia részleteit, a sérültek állapotát az Ukrinform tudósítójának adott interjújában.
„Összesen 63 ember utazott az autóbuszon. Legtöbben tinédzserek – 14 és 18 év közöttiek voltak. Sajnos négy felnőtt elhunyt, közülük hárman ukrán állampolgárok voltak. Az egyik személy francia részről kísérte a csoportot, ami azt jelenti, hogy kapcsolatban állt a Francia Líceummal, amellyel a diákcsere zajlott. Két súlyos sérült van intenzív osztályon, egyiküket jelenleg műtik. Mindenki nagy stressz alatt van” – mondta a nagykövet, aki már meglátogatta a kórházakban lévő áldozatokat.
Elmondása szerint a leggyakoribb sérülések a zúzódások és a vágások.
A sérülteket négy kórházban helyezték el. A legtöbben a Le Mans-i kórházban vannak két osztályon – felnőtt és gyermek. A sebesültek túlnyomó többsége már felvette a kapcsolatot családjával.
Francia csendőrök kihallgatják a két ukrán sofőrt. Az ügy az ukrán elnök és külügyminiszter ellenőrzése alatt van.
„Jelenleg itt, a helyszínen dolgozunk, értekezletet tartunk a diplomatáinkkal. El kell döntenünk, hogyan, kiket és milyen tételben küldjünk Ukrajnába. Sokan elvesztették az okmányaikat, ezért a konzulátus itt fog dolgozni, hogy mindenkiről gondoskodjon. Már találtunk ukrán fuvarozókat, akik hajlandóak önkéntes alapon elszállítani a gyerekek egy részét” – részletezte Omelcsenko.
Elmondása szerint hamarosan világosabbá válik, hogy ki utazhat Ukrajnába orvosi kritériumok alapján, és kinek kell itt maradnia kezelésre. Az elhunytak holttesteinek Ukrajnába való szállításának kérdése is folyamatban van.
Omelcsenko hangsúlyozta, hogy a mentőakció azonnal megkezdődött. 148 mentős érkezett a helyszínre, a sérülteket négy helikopterrel szállították kórházakba.
„Mindenki mozgósítva lett, mind a helyi, mind a központi hatóságok. Kapcsolatban állunk az Élysée-palotával, valamint a francia külügyminisztérium válságellenes központjával” – tette hozzá.

A France Bleu-ben közölt cikk szerint Oroszország franciaországi konzulátusának dolgozóját februárban állították elő, azonban sikerült hazamenekülnie, így nem jelent meg a kihallgatáson.
Az eljárás akkor kezdődött, amikor ellopták a strasbourgi polgármester-helyettes elektromos biciklijét. A tisztviselő később meglátta a kerékpárt egy hirdetéses oldalon és értesítette a hatóságokat.
