Legalább 15 ember meghalt és több tucatnyian megsebesültek vasárnap este egy menekült palesztinok menedékhelyévé alakított iskola izraeli bombázásában a Gázai övezet középső részén lévő Nuszeirat menekülttáborban – közölték a helyi polgári védelem illetékesei.
„Az iskolát az izraeli tűzérség nagy erejű csapása érte, 15 ember, köztük gyerekek, nők és egész családok haltak meg, 50-en pedig megsebesültek” – mondta Mahmud Baszal, a szervezet szóvivője.
Az izraeli hadsereg közölte, hogy „vizsgálja az ezzel kapcsolatos információkat”.
Ez az iskola több száz kitelepített embernek ad otthont, akik Gázából, illetve a Gázai övezet különböző részeiről érkeztek – mondta el Mahmud Baszal.
Az izraeli hadsereg rendszeresen azzal vádolja a Hamászt, hogy fegyveresei iskolai épületekben rejtőznek, ahol több ezer gázai menekült keresett menedéket.
Ezt a palesztin iszlamista mozgalom cáfolja.
Az ostromlott Gázai övezet 2,4 millió lakosának túlnyomó többsége legalább egyszer már elmenekült a háború miatt, amelyet a Hamász október 7-i, Izrael elleni támadása váltott ki, és sokan iskolaépületekben kerestek menedéket.
Ugyancsak a Gázai övezet északi részén történt, hogy egy dróncsapásban meghalt öt gyermek a Sati menekülttáborban – közölte ugyanez a forrás, izraeli drónnak tulajdonítva a támadást.
„Csapataink öt mártír holttestét találták meg, mindannyian gyerekek, miután egy izraeli drón egy csoport játszó gyereket vett célba a Gázavárostól nyugatra fekvő Sati menekülttáborban” – mondta Baszal. Hozzátette, hogy a holttesteket a város nyugati részén található (gázavárosi) Sifa kórházba szállították.
Több ezer gyermek vesztette életét a Gázai övezetben zajló izraeli offenzíva kezdete óta, amely a Hamász egészségügyi minisztériuma szerint legalább 42 227 ember halálát okozta.
A Hamász 2023. október 7-i, izraeli terület elleni támadásában 1206 ember vesztette életét, többségük civil – derül ki az AFP francia hírügynökség hivatalos izraeli adatokon alapuló számításából. Ebbe a számba beletartoznak a Gázában fogságban meghalt vagy megölt túszok is.

A gázai egészségügyi minisztérium közleménye szerint Izrael szombati légicsapásai során a Gázai övezetben található Nuszeirát menekülttáborban legalább 274 ember meghalt, és 698-an megsebesültek.
A gázai hatóságok szerint a Hamász terrortámadását követően tavaly októberben indított háború kezdete óta már 37 084 palesztin halt meg az övezetben és 84 494-en megsebesültek.
Törökország vasárnap barbár támadásnak nevezte azt a szombati akciót, amelyben Izrael négy, októberben elhurcolt túsz kiszabadításáról számolt be.
„A legutóbbi barbár akcióval Izrael újabbal szaporította a Gázában elkövetett háborús bűnei számát” – közölte a török külügyminisztérium, amely nem tett konkrét említést a túszmentésről. Szombaton Izrael kiszabadított négy embert az október 7-én Izraelből elrabolt túszok közül.
A Gázai övezet középső részén fekvő Nuszeirát menekülttábor legforgalmasabb részén, a piac közelében, két, egymástól mintegy kétszáz méterre található lakásban tartották őket, melyeket az izraeli kommandósok szombaton, egy időben rohantak meg.
A mentőakciót jelentések szerint heves légicsapások és tüzérségi támadások kísérték.
Az izraeli hadsereg tudatta, hogy kivizsgálja az áldozatokról szóló híradásokat. Daniel Hagari szóvivő azt mondta, a hadseregnek kevesebb mint száz áldozatról van tudomása.

Pénteken légitámadás érte a Kongói Demokratikus Köztársaság keleti részén található Észak-Kivu tartomány egyik menekülttáborát. Helyi hivatalos források szerint 11 halálos áldozatról és 26 sebesültről tudnak. A hadsereg és a környéken aktív lázadócsoport egymást vádolja a támadással.

Betonfallal körülzárt tábor építésébe kezdett Egyiptom a Sínai-félszigeten, ahol szükség esetén elhelyezhetőek palesztin menekültek, ha Izrael támadást indít Rafah ellen a Gázai-övezetben – jelentette a The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) amerikai napilap helyi idő szerint csütörtökön, egyiptomi hivatali és biztonsági elemzőkre hivatkozva.
Miután az egyiptomi határ mentén fekvő Rafahban több mint egymillió ember zsúfolódott össze, akik az övezet többi részén folyó harcok elől menekültek el, szárazföldi offenzíva esetén sok lehet az áldozat vagy a menekültek kénytelenek lesznek elindulni Egyiptom felé.
Az egyiptomi Észak-Sínai régió kormányzója csütörtökön tagadta a palesztinok befogadására szolgáló menedékhely építéséről szóló híreket, mondván a térségben zajló helyreállítási munkákat az egyiptomi kormány rendelte el az Iszlám Állam szélsőséges harcosaival folytatott heves harcok befejeztével.
Egyiptomi biztonsági források hangsúlyozták, hogy vészforgatókönyvről van szó, és Kairó bízik abban, hogy elkerülhető a menekültáradat, és tető alá hozható tűzszüneti megállapodás a Gázai övezetben, a területet pedig elővigyázatosságból és ideiglenesen készítik elő.
A WSJ jelentése szerint a tábor alapterülete mintegy 20 négyzetkilométer, a befogadóközpont pedig akár százezer embernek is menedéket nyújthat, noha Egyiptom legfeljebb 50-60 ezer palesztin menekült befogadásával számol.
Kairó az elmúlt hetekben fokozta a biztonsági jelenlétét és csapatösszevonásokat hajtott végre a Gázai övezet határánál, továbbá intenzívebb járőrözésbe fogott különösen a rafahi és a Kerem Salom-i határátkelőknél, hogy gátat szabjon a palesztin menekültek Egyiptomba érkezésének.
Benjámin Netanjahu izraeli miniszterelnök nemrégiben bejelentette, hogy a Hamász elleni műveleteket kiterjesztik Rafahra. A WSJ értesülései szerint Egyiptom közölte: ha tömegesen indulnak útnak palesztin menekültek Egyiptomba, készek felmondani az Izraellel kötött békemegállapodást.
Egyiptom a háború kezdete óta hangoztatja, hogy a palesztinokat nem szabad elüldözni vagy kitelepíteni az övezetből, és teljesen elfogadhatatlannak tartja, hogy Egyiptomba kényszerítsék őket.
A WSJ – az izraeli hadsereg egy magas rangú tisztjét idézve – azt írja, hogy a műveletek miatt Izrael az övezet északi részébe telepítené át a városban élők egy részét.

A Gázai övezetet irányító Hamász palesztin iszlamista szervezet egészségügyi minisztériumának közlése szerint számos halálos áldozata van az övezet északi részén lévő Dzsabalija menekülttábort érő szombati izraeli légicsapásoknak.
A közlemény szerint legkevesebb 50 ember egy menekülteket elszállásoló iskolaépületben halt meg az izraeli légitámadásban. Továbbá egy család 32 tagja, köztük 19 gyermek is meghalt, mikor a lakóhelyüket ugyanebben a menekülttáborban találat érte.
Ezeket az állításokat egyelőre nem erősítette meg az ENSZ helyi segélyszervezete, az UNRWA.
Legkevesebb 47 halálos áldozata van palesztin egészségügyi források szerint olyan szombati izraeli légicsapásoknak is, amelyek a Gázai övezet déli részében, a 400 ezer lakosú Hán-Júniszban lévő lakótömböket ért. Egy halálos áldozat egyik hozzátartozója a Reuters hírügynökség tudósítójának azt mondta: a 47 áldozat között több olyan van, aki az övezet északi részéből menekült délre Izrael felszólítására, és semmi köze nem volt a Hamászhoz.
Izrael közben ismételten arra szólította fel a Gázavárosban élőket, hogy hagyják el lakóhelyüket, és menjenek az övezet déli részébe, mert nem akarja, hogy a lakosság a háború kereszttüzébe kerüljön. Az izraeli hadsereg nem közölte szombaton, hogy hol hajtott végre légicsapásokat az elmúlt 24 órában a Gázai övezetben, csak annyit közölt ismét, hogy terrorista célpontokat támadott.
Ursula von der Leyen szombaton kijelentette, hogy ellenzi a palesztinok „kényszerű kitelepítését”. Az Európai Bizottság elnöke azt követően beszélt erről, hogy Kairóban találkozott Abdel-Fattáh esz-Szíszi egyiptomi elnökkel.
Von der Leyen az X-platformon korábban arról is beszámolt, hogy a találkozón, amelyen a Gázában kialakult humanitárius válságot tárgyalták meg, megköszönte az Egyiptom által nyújtott segítséget, és azt, hogy megkönnyíti a palesztinoknak szánt humanitárius segélyszállítmányok célba juttatását.
„Egyetértünk abban, hogy a palesztinokat nem szabad erőszakkal kitelepíteni, és hogy a politikai perspektíva a kétállami (izraeli és palesztin) megoldáson alapul” – mondta von der Leyen.
Az Európai Bizottság elnöke a tervek szerint a rafahi határátkelőhelyre is ellátogat, és találkozik palesztin menekültekkel.
Ajmán Szafadi jordániai külügyminiszter szombaton arra figyelmeztetett: Izrael azon célja, hogy kiiktassa a Hamászt a Gázai övezetben, nem oldja meg a problémát.
„Ha nem örültök annak, amit a Hamász tesz, győzzétek meg a palesztinokat, hogy van jövőjük, de a Hamász a jövő és közöttük áll” – jelentette ki Izraelnek címezve a Bahreinben megrendezett „manámai párbeszéd” című fórumon, hangsúlyozva, hogy „a palesztinoknak nincs vesztenivalójuk”.
Szafadi azt is kijelentette, hogy az élelem, az üzemanyag és a gyógyszer megtagadása a Gázában élőktől „háborús bűncselekmény”. Mint mondta: Izrael 2,3 millió palesztint ejtett túszul azáltal, hogy ebben a háborúban megtagadja tőlük az élelmet és a vizet.
A külügyminiszter szerint a túszokat szabadon kell engedni, de a humanitárius szüneteket nem szabad függővé tenni a túszok szabadon bocsátásától.
Az Izrael és a Hamász közötti harcok szüneteltetése és a Gázai övezetbe irányuló humanitárius segélyek „jelentős” növelése abban az esetben történhet meg, ha a palesztin szervezet szabadon engedi túszait – jelentette ki a Nemzetközi Stratégiai Tanulmányok Intézete (IISS) által szervezett bahreini konferencián az amerikai elnök közel-keleti főtanácsadója, Brett McGurk.
McGurk elismerte, hogy a Gázai övezetben „szörnyű” és „tűrhetetlen” a helyzet, de csak a túszok kiszabadulása után indulhatnak meg a humanitárius segélyek, érkezhet meg az üzemanyag és szünetelhetnek a harcok.
Mint mondta: Joe Biden amerikai elnök pénteken beszélt erről Tamím bin Hamad Ál Száni katari emírrel, akinek országa fontos közvetítő szerepet játszik az október 7-én elrabolt és Gázába hurcolt 240 túsz egy részének kiszabadításáért folyó tárgyalásokban.
Az Orvosok Határok Nélkül nemzetközi segélyszervezet szombaton Berlinben közölte, hogy alkalmazottai és családtagjaik csapdába estek a gázai es-Sifá Kórház közelében. Tájékoztatásuk szerint 137 emberről, köztük 65 gyermekről van szó, akik nem tudják elhagyni a szervezet vendégházát, és evakuálásuk kudarcba fulladt.
Az orvosszervezet azonnali tűzszünetre szólított fel, hogy ki lehessen menekíteni a civileket. Mint hangsúlyozták, az élelem- és ivóvízhiány miatt napokon belül, vagy akár a következő órákban is további emberek halhatnak meg.
Az ENSZ szerint már harmadik napja nem érkezett az övezetbe segély, és a terület egyes részein a szennyvíz már az utcákon folyik.

Tüzérségi támadás érte a Mianmar északi, a kínai határhoz közeli részén lévő Kacsin állam menekülttáborát, több mint harmincan meghaltak, köztük nők és gyerekek – közölték kedden helyi médiaforrások és a térségben működő aktivisták.
Khon Dzsa, a Kacsini Békehálózat nevű civil szervezet egyik munkatársa azt mondta, a Kínával szomszédos Laiza városától mintegy öt kilométerre elkövetett támadás rendkívül erős volt, a falu gyakorlatilag teljesen megsemmisült, és hozzátette, hogy a helyi kórház szerint csaknem 60 sebesültről tudni.
A támadás hétfő éjjel, néhány kilométerre az országot irányító juntával szemben álló, Laizát ellenőrző Kacsini Függetlenségi Hadsereg (KIA) nevű lázadócsoport egyik bázisánál történt.
A kínai határhoz közeli térségben nagyon sok belső menekült él.
A mianmari árnyékkormány a juntát tette felelőssé a támadásért, melyet Kjav Zav, az árnyékkormány szóvivője háborús bűncselekménynek nevezett.
„A nemzetközi közösségnek lépnie kell” – szögezte le a szóvivő, hozzátéve, hogy a kínai határhoz ilyen közel elkövetett akció arra mutat, hogy a junta a szomszédos országgal sem törődik.
A junta tagadta, hogy köze lenne a támadáshoz, Zav Min Tun, a junta szóvivője pedig azt mondta, az ügyben vizsgálatot indítottak.
„Mindig is fontos volt számunka a határ menti térségek békéje” – jelentette ki.
Az ENSZ mianmari missziója elítélte a támadást, kiemelve, hogy a belső menekültek elszállásolására szolgáló létesítmények semmilyen körülmények között nem lehetnek katonai célpontok.

Ezt követően még vasárnap a palesztin frakciók közös nyilatkozatban jelentették be, hogy tűzszüneti megállapodásra jutottak egy békéltető megbeszélésen, amelyet az Amal és a Hezbollah síita szervezetek vezetői rendeztek Szaidában, de a megállapodás gyorsan összeomlott.
Szaidának a menekülttáborral szomszédos több negyedéből sok helyi lakos elmenekült, miután a táborból kilőtt eltévedt lövedékek az ottani épületekbe, ablakokba és boltokba csapódtak be.
A szaidai állami kórházból kimenekítették a munkatársakat és a betegeket.
Nadzsib Mikáti libanoni ügyvivő miniszterelnök és a palesztin elnök is saját közleményben ítélte el az összecsapásokat vasárnap.
Ajn el-Helvában mintegy 54 ezer palesztin él, és nem ritkák a rivális palesztin csoportok közötti összecsapások. Legutóbb két hónapja jelentettek fegyveres összetűzést a táborból, előtte pedig márciusban is konfliktus tört ki.
Az ENSZ palesztin menekülteket segélyező közel-keleti hivatalának (UNRWA) adatai szerint Libanonban több mint 450 ezer palesztin menekült él, többségük 12 menekülttáborban. A táborokban sokszor rosszak a körülmények, az itt élőkre pedig munkavállalási korlátozások is vonatkoznak.

A feszültséget a portál tudósítása szerint az okozta, hogy a táborban áramkimaradás volt, és a vízszolgáltatással is gondok akadtak. A problémát szombat délelőttre sem sikerült megoldani, a központ szóvivője azonban hangsúlyozta, dolgoznak a helyzet megoldásán.
A zavargásban körülbelül száz bevándorló vett részt, ők a szobáikat elhagyva a központ udvarára vonultak botokkal és késekkel felfegyverkezve. A hatóságok közlése alapján az incidens nyomán személyi sérülés nem történt.
Az incidens miatt nagy erőkkel vonult ki a rendőrség, felfegyverzett rohamrendőrök mellett tűzoltók is érkeztek a helyszínre, a rendet azóta sikerült helyreállítani.

Egy férfi házi gyújtóbombákkal támadt a kenti menekültközpontra, majd brutális módon öngyilkosságot követett el – számolt be a hvg.hu.
Három, házilag készített, tűzijátékokhoz rögzített gyújtóbombát hajított egy, az országba belépő migránsokat fogadó központra egy férfi az angliai Doverben – írja a Reuters. A támadó egy Seat gépjárművel hajtott oda a menekültközponthoz, kiszállt, majd elhajította a három gyújtóbombát, amelyek közül az egyik nem gyulladt be.
Ezután egy közeli benzinkúthoz hajtott, hurkot kötött a nyakára, a kötelet hozzáerősítette egy fém oszlophoz, beült a kocsijába, majd rálépett a gázra.
A támadás motívuma nem ismert, a rendőrség annyit közölt, hogy nem terrortámadásként kezelik az ügyet. A támadásban senki sem sérült meg súlyosan, a menekültközpontban ketten enyhe sérüléseket szenvedtek.
Suella Braverman belügyminiszter „nyugtalanítónak” nevezte a támadást. Natalie Elpicke konzervatív doveri országgyűlési képviselő szerint a helyzet általában véve aggasztó, és angol-francia együttműködést sürgetett a csatornán való kishajós átkelések felszámolására. Egy helyi képviselő a BBC műsorában arról beszélt, hogy a lakosságot sokkolta az eset. Általában véve az emberek megosztottak, szerinte a lakosság fele olyan véleménnyel van az országba érkező migránsokról, ami nem tűr nyomdafestéket, a másik fele viszont inkább segítene nekik.

A rendőrségi vizsgálat szerint kongói és nigériai menedékkérők konfliktusa torkollott verekedésbe, miután kövekkel és más tárgyakkal dobálták egymást, majd tűz ütött ki a táborban.
A 915 ezer lakosú Ciprusi Köztársaság az Európai Unió azon tagállama, amelyben lakosságarányosan a legtöbb, mintegy öt százalék a menekültstátusra váró migránsok száma.
A legtöbben közülük Kongóból, Nigériából, illetve Szíriából érkeztek. A szóban forgó tábor hivatalosan 800 személyes, de túlzsúfolt, és lakóinak száma jelenleg is legalább 1600 fő. A területén korábban is voltak már tűzesetek.
A tűz eloltása után néhány órával helyreállt a nyugalom a táborban, de a rendőrség ennek ellenére megerősítette a környék biztosítását. Cipruson tavaly 13 325-en adtak be menekültkérelmet. Idén január és július között már ennél is több, 13 818 menedékkérőt regisztráltak.
Ugyanezen idő alatt 4019 migráns menedékkérelmét elutasították, nekik önként vagy hivatalos kitoloncolási eljárás keretében kellet elhagyniuk a szigetországot.
