Az amerikai bunyós kevert harcművészetben (MMA) jeleskedett, 1996 óta 320 meccset játszott le. Az nso megírta, hogy Fulton előzetes letartóztatásban várta a július 23-án kezdődő perét, amelyet gyermekpornográfia és kiskorúak molesztálása miatt indítottak ellene, de a vádpontok között szerepelt családon belüli erőszak is.
A 44 éves Fulton, akit hetven esztendei börtön fenyegetett, február közepén került rács mögé, s az Iowa állambeli Cedar Rapids börtönében ölte meg magát vasárnap hajnalban.
