A Boeing által tervezett és épített távközlési műhold pályára állását követően nem sokkal szétesett. A műhold üzemeltetője, az Intelsat megerősítette az iS-33e „teljes elvesztését”, amely az európai, afrikai és ázsiai-csendes-óceáni térségbeli ügyfeleket érintette.
Az Intelsat azt is elmondta, hogy lépéseket tett az incidens „átfogó elemzésének” elvégzésére.
Az adatok és megfigyelések elemzése érdekében egyeztetünk a műhold gyártójával, a Boeinggel és a kormányzati szervekkel – közölte az Intelsat.
Az amerikai védelmi minisztérium SpaceTrack nevű honlapja szintén megerősítette az incidenst. A platformon közzétett riasztás szerint az amerikai űrhadsereg azt is közölte, hogy „jelenleg mintegy 20 darabot” követ a műholdból – írja a BBC.
Balszerencsés Boeing
Ettől függetlenül két űrhajós a Nemzetközi Űrállomáson (ISS) rekedt, miután a Boeing Starliner kapszula, amellyel júniusban érkeztek, alkalmatlannak bizonyult a visszatérésre. A tervek szerint jövőre utaznak vissza a Földre egy, SpaceX gyártású űrhajóval.
A vállalat szeptember óta sztrájkkal küzd, amely több mint 30 000 dolgozót érint a kereskedelmi repülőgépeket gyártó üzemében. A múlt héten a Boeing közölte, hogy novembertől megkezdi 17 000 alkalmazottjának elbocsátását.

A Gelly kínai autógyártó által támogatott Geespace közölte, hogy műholdak harmadik sorozatát indította útjára egy megakonstelláció létrehozására irányuló tervének részeként.
A 10 alacsony Föld körüli pályára (LEO) állított műholdat az északi Shanxi tartományban található Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre-ből indították. Ez áll a Geespace közleményében.
Kommunikációt kínálnak globális szinten
Ezzel az indítással a rendszer immár 30 műholdat foglal magában. A Föld 90 százalékát fedik le 24 órás kommunikációs szolgáltatásokkal. Ez az első alkalom, hogy kínai kereskedelmi űrkutatási vállalat alacsony pályán keringő műholdas kommunikációt kínál globális szinten – közölte a vállalat.
A Geespacet a Geely Technology Group 2018-ban hozta létre alacsony pályán keringő műholdak kutatására, indítására és üzemeltetésére. Ezek a műholdak általában 300-2000 km magasságban működnek a Föld felszíne felett, és előnyük, olcsóbbak és hatékonyabb átvitelt biztosítanak, mint a magasabb pályán keringő műholdak.
A Geespace az első 20 műholdját két külön indítással, 2022-ben, valamint 2024 elején állította pályára. A cég azt tervezi, hogy 6.000 alacsony Föld körüli pályán keringő műholdból álló rendszert hoz létre, amely globális szélessávú internetet biztosítana.
A rendszer első fázisa
A Geespace műholdindítása a rendszer első fázisa, amelynek célja, hogy 2025 végére 72 műholdat állítson pályára, amelyek világszerte több mint 200 millió felhasználót szolgálnak ki.
A második fázisban 264 műholddal bővül a mobiltelefonos kommunikáció, míg a harmadik fázisban 5676 műholdat indítanak a nagy sebességű széles sávú kommunikáció számára.
A múlt hónapban a Shanghai Spacecom Satellite Technology (SSST) állami tulajdonú vállalat Taiyuanból indított egy sor LEO műholdat a „Thousand Sails Constellation”, más néven a „G60 Starlink Plan” számára. Irán domborzatát vizsgáló új, saját gyártású kutatóműholdat bocsátottak fel egy orosz Szojuz rakétával a Vosztocsnij Űrközpontból – számolt be róla csütörtökön az iráni állami média kormányzati közléseket idézve.
A 134 kilogramm súlyú Pars 1 műhold Föld-körüli pályára állva 500 kilométer magasból vizsgálja majd Irán topográfiáját.
Jelenleg az iráni indítóbázisokról még nem tudják megfelelő pályára állítani műholdakat – indokolta Isza Zarepur kommunikációs és információs miniszter azt, hogy orosz űrkikötőből indították útnak a szatellitát. Az orosz Távol-Keleten, a kínai határ közelében, Vlagyivosztoktól 1500 kilométerre fekvő Vosztocsnij Űrközpontot 2016-ban helyezték üzembe.
A műhold felbocsátása az amerikai szankciókkal sújtott Oroszország és Irán szoros tudományos együttműködését jelzi. 2022-ben a kazahsztáni Bajkonurból indítottak útnak orosz segítséggel egy iráni kémműholdat, amelyet Omar Hajjám 12. századi perzsa költőről, matematikusról, filozófusról és csillagászról neveztek el.

Az orosz légi- és űrerők a pleszecki űrközpontból egy Szojuz-2.1b hordozórakétát bocsátottak fel egy katonai rendeltetésű űrhajóval. A minisztérium tájékoztatása értelmében az előző ilyen indítás október 27-én történt.
Szojuz-2.1b típusú hordozórakétát eddig összesen 67 alkalommal indítottak, a küldetések körül kettő végződött kudarccal. Az indítások közül 41 alkalommal Pleszeckben, 15 alkalommal Bajkonurban, 11 alkalommal Vosztocsnijban történt.
