Kristi Noem belbiztonsági miniszter megerősítette az erőszakos cselekmény tényét.
A rendőrségi jelentések szerint a Nemzeti Gárda két tagja a 17. és H Street kereszteződésénél kapott halálos lövéseket hajnalban Washingtonban. Egy harmadik sérült – a feltételezett elkövető – szintén kórházba került, ám az ő állapota nem életveszélyes. Szemtanúk szerint a Fehér Ház közelében perceken át villogtak a rendőrautók, a levegőben helikopterek köröztek, és a helyszínt azonnal lezárták – írja az AP News.
Az elnök bejegyzésében a tettest „állatnak” nevezte, aki súlyos árat fizet majd tettéért, és egyben támogatásáról biztosította a Nemzeti Gárda és a bűnüldöző erők tagjait.
A lövöldözés a Fehér Háztól mintegy másfél kilométerre történt. Az erőszakos incidens helyszínét lezárták, a városi rendőrség és a titkosszolgálat egységei, valamint a Nemzeti Gárda katonái is részt vettek az intézkedésben. A hatóságok azt is vizsgálják, hogy a támadó egyedül cselekedett-e.

A Nemzeti Gárda egyik katonát szolgálatteljesítés közben megverte két ittas fiatal szeptember 10-én Ivano-Frankivszkban, a sértettet kórházban kezelik – számolt be pénteken az rbc.ua hírportál az Ivano-frankivszk megyei rendőrség Facebook-oldalára hivatkozva.
Jelentés szerint szerda este a katonák fiatalokra figyeltek fel, akik járókelőkkel kötekedtek, és trágár szavakat használtak. Többször is figyelmeztették őket, de azok nem reagáltak.
Később a közelben összegyűlt emberek előtt a fiúk összeverekedtek a katonákkal. Az egyik egyenruhást a földre teperték és megverték, de ezt senki sem jelentette a rendőrségnek.
A 25 éves katonát kórházba szállították. Az orvosok sérüléseket diagnosztizáltak nála.
A részeg fiatalokat őrizetbe vették és a megyei rendőrkapitányságra állították őket elő. Az elkövetők jaremcsei lakosoknak bizonyultak – 22 és 17 évesek. Büntetőeljárást indítottak ellenük garázdaság címén. A nyomozók az egyik érintettet már meggyanúsították.
A Legfelső Korrupcióellenes Bíróság (VAKSZ) elrendelte a 250 ezer hrivnya lefoglalását, amelyet a Nemzeti Gárda egyik katonai egységének parancsnokánál, Vaszil Misanszkijnál találtak a letartóztatásakor. A Nemzeti Korrupcióellenes Iroda (NABU) és a Különleges Korrupcióellenes Ügyészség (SZAP) a parlamenti képviselő Olekszij Kuznyecov ügyéhez kötik őt – számolt be a Szlovo i gyilo.
Augusztus 2-án a NABU nyomozói vették őrizetbe Misanszkijt. A letartóztatáskor egy fekete színű, Nike feliratú táskát és 250 ezer hrivnyát (500 hrivnyás címletekben) találtak nála. A nyomozó szerint ez a pénz jogtalan előnyként szolgált a katonai egység számára szánt, összesen 5 millió hrivnya értékű rádióelektronikai hadviselési rendszerek szállításának biztosításáért.
A bíróság döntése szerint a lefoglalt táskát és készpénzt tilos elidegeníteni, felhasználni vagy kezelni, mivel ezek bizonyítékként szolgálnak a büntetőeljárásban.

A Belügyminisztérium felfüggesztette tisztségéből a Nemzeti Gárda hat vezetőjét, miután házkutatásokat tartottak náluk – számolt be szombaton az rbc.ua hírportál a Belügyminisztériumra és saját forrásaira hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint „a Nemzeti Gárda logisztikai főosztályának hat magas rangú tisztviselőjét felfüggesztették tisztségükből”. A Belügyminisztérium belső vizsgálatot rendelt el. „Teljes mértékben együttműködünk a nyomozással” – közölte a minisztérium.
Az rbc.ua forrásai szerint házkutatást tartottak a Nemzeti Gárda vezetőinek lakásán. Ahogy a hírportál megtudta, a Nemzeti Korrupcióellenes Hivatal (NABU) nyomozói vizsgálódtak. Elsősorban a Nemzeti Gárda főparancsnokának, Olekszandr Pivnenko dandártábornoknál, valamint a következő tiszteknél folytak a házkutatások:
Oleksandr Bilousz dandártábornok, a Nemzeti Gárda hátországi parancsnokhelyettese, logisztikai vezető;
Szerhij Hricenko ezredes, a Nemzeti Gárda vezérkarának logisztikai főosztályvezetője;
Mikola Modlinszkij ezredes, a Nemzeti Gárda vezérkarának logisztikai főosztályának igazgatója;
Oleksandr Kalatinec ezredes, a logisztikai főosztály parancsnokhelyettese, a Nemzeti Gárda gépjármű- és páncélozott járművek osztályának vezetője;
Denisz Hanaz ezredes, az állomásoztatási és beruházási osztály vezetője;
Volodimir Fedorovszkij ezredes, a Nemzeti Gárda központi termelési-technológiai bázisának vezetője.

A Nemzeti Gárda és a rendőrség csaknem 1000 tagja vigyáz mostantól a New York-i metróval közlekedők biztonságára. A földalatti járműveken egyre elszaporodó erőszakos bűncselekmények megállítása érdekében a város kormányzója szigorú intézkedések bevezetéséről döntött. A lakosságot megosztja az egyenruhások jelenléte és poggyászaik szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzése.
A Híradó felvételein alaposan átvizsgálják egy utas táskáját a hatóságok New Yorkban. Az ellenőrzés azonban nem a repülőtéren, hanem egy metróállomáson zajlik. A hét közepétől mindennapossá váltak az ilyen és ehhez hasonló föld alatti jelenetek a metropoliszban.
Az egyenruhások ellepték a keleti parti nagyváros metróállomásait. Ott vannak a lejáratoknál, a beengedő kapuknál, a peronokon, de még a közlekedő kocsikon is kísérik az utasokat. New York kormányzója azért rendelte ki a Nemzeti Gárda egységeit, hogy vigyázzanak az emberek biztonságára. Az elmúlt időszakban ugyanis drámaian megnőtt a föld alatti járműveken a bűncselekmények száma.
„A New York-i Nemzeti Gárda 750 tagja, valamint az állami és a helyi rendőrség további 250 embere lesz jelen. Jelen lesznek az ellenőrzőpontokon, hogy meggyőződjenek arról, senkinél sincs fegyver. Mert senkinek nem lenne szabad attól tartania, hogy a mellette ülő személy halálos fegyvert birtokol” – fogalmazott a kormányzó.
Az egyenruhások jelenléte mellett több mint ezer térfigyelő kamerát szereltek fel a szerelvényekre és az állomásokon.
New York lakóit megosztották az intézkedések.
„A poggyászellenőrzés a személyes tulajdonom átnézése, és ehhez nem járulok hozzá. Nem engedem a boltban sem, miért engedném a metróban?” – vélekedett egy nő.
A szigorítások ellenzői között volt, aki azt sérelmezte, hogy sok időt vesz igénybe, amíg a rendőrök átnézik a táskákat, miközben az emberek sietnének. Az utasok másik fele azonban kifejezetten örül a szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzéseknek.
„Lehet, hogy még mindig vannak köztünk terroristák. Őszintén, azt gondolom, szükség van itt a rendőrökre. Csak védik az embereket” – mondta egy férfi.
