Két ember életét vesztette, további kilencen pedig megsérültek egy hétfő esti lövöldözésben a Lemon Hill nevű területen, Philadelphia Fairmount Parkjában
A város rendőrfőnöke, Kevin Bethel tájékoztatása szerint a lövöldözés az áldozatai között három fiatalkorú – egy 15, egy 16 és egy 17 éves – is van. A többi sérült felnőtt. Az első jelentések szerint valamennyien stabil állapotban vannak.
A lövöldözés után a sebesülteket több különböző kórházba szállították, köztük a philadelphiai Gyermekkórházba, a Penn Presbyterian Orvosi Központba, a Temple Egyetemi Kórházba és a Lankenau Orvosi Központba. A rendőrség közölte, hogy egy másik személyt is kórházba vittek, akit a lövöldözés közbeni zűrzavarban elütötte egy autó.
Az eset helyi idő szerint nem sokkal este fél 11 előtt történt, miközben több csoport tartózkodott a parkban.
Jelenleg nem ismert, hogyan kezdődött az incidens, és hány lövöldöző lehetett érintett.
A hatóságok elmondása szerint egyelőre sem fegyvereket, sem gyanúsítottakat nem találtak. A nyomozók egész éjszaka és a keddi nap folyamán is vizsgálják a kiterjedt bűnügyi helyszínt – írja a Reuters.

Lövöldözés volt Philadelphia egyik elővárosában helyi idő szerint szombaton kora reggel, három ember meghalt.
A hatóságok lefújtak minden aznapra tervezett Szent Patrik napi rendezvényt, és bezártak egy gyerekeknek épült vidámparkot is Falls Townshipben.
Egy helyi tisztviselő arról számolt be a rendőröknek, hogy családi vita áll a háttérben. A tettes két helyszínen nyitott tüzet, többeket meglőtt, majd egy lopott kocsival menekült Trenton irányába.
A rendőrség arra kérte a környékbelieket, hogy maradjanak otthon, és zárkózzanak be, amíg el nem fogják a fegyverest, aki a gyanú szerint egy 26 éves férfi, és bár most hajléktalannak mondják, ideje nagy részét Trentonban tölti.
