A járőrszolgálat munka közben vette észre az árokba sodródott MAN típusú kamiont a Rahói járás területén.
Mint kiderült, a sofőr nem sérült meg, a tehergépjárművet egy daru segítségével emelték ki az árokból, a forgalmat ez idő alatt a rendőrök irányították.
A rendőrök arra kérik a sofőröket, hogy vezessenek fokozott odafigyeléssel, hiszen az időjárási viszonyok miatt az utak csúszósak és veszélyesek.

Február 13-án egy rahói járási vendégmunkásokat szállító mikrobusz az oroszországi Pszkov közelében balesetet szenvedett. Az áldozatok többsége rahói járási lakos. Az egyetlen túlélője a szörnyű balesetnek a mikrobusz egyik sofőrje, aki kórházban van, az intenzív osztályon kezelik. A többi 7 utas valamint a másik gépkocsivezető a helyszínen életüket vesztették. Mindnyájan kárpátaljai lakosok, írta az Obozrevatel.
A 38 éves Mihajlo Zelenyuk ez egyetlen, aki túlélte a Szent-Pétervár–Nevely közúton történt balesetet. Mihajlo régen foglalkozik személyszállítással, közösségi oldalán hirdeti, hogy személyszállítási szolgáltatást biztosít Szent-Pétervárról Ukrajnába.
„A napokban beszéltünk telefonon, mi testvérek vagyunk, egy Szent-Pétervárhoz közeli építkezésen dolgozom, Rahói vagyok. Ígérte, hogy bejön hozzám, mert épp Szent-Pétervárra szállított utasokat. Reggel csodálkoztam, hogy nem jött be, nem is telefonált, hívtam, de nem volt elérhető. Később tudtam meg, hogy mi történt. Felhívtam az intenzív osztályt, súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett. Most a barátommal leutazunk Pszkovba, onnan még 4 óra” – mondta a Vaszil, a sofőr testvére. Hozzáteszi, testvére Mihajlo csodával határos módon élte túl a balesetet, talán azért, mert hátul ült, aludt, a volánnál társa volt, szintén Misa, ő meghalt.
„Tévesen írják, nem Ukrajnába, hanem Pétervárra utaztak. A kisbuszban mindnyájan a földieink, rahói járásiak voltak, dolgozni mentek. Mindenki meghalt, Misáért imádkozunk, hogy túlélje, otthon 2 gyermeke van” – mondta Vaszil.
A pszkovi megyei rendőrség jelentése szerint, Mihajlo kórházban van, állapota kielégítő.
„Amikor kimentettük az autóból, az orvosok vágott sebeket,hasi sérülést és agyrázkódást diagnosztizáltak” – mondta a pszkovi megyei rendőrség szóvivője, Oleg Baranov.
Ugyancsak kórházban van Vjacseszlav Rjabov, a kamion, amellyel a „Mercedes” típusú kisbusz ütközött sofőrje, ő belorusz állampolgár, nála állkapocstörést állapítottak meg az orvosok.
A baleset február 13-án éjjel 0:36-kor történt Ruda település, a Szent-Pétervár–Nevely autóút 475-ik km-nél. Az előzetes adatok alapján a „Mercedes” típusú kisbusz előzés közben nagy sebességgel csapódott bele a „Volvo” típusú teherautóba. Az ütés akkora erejű volt, hogy a kisbusz a felismerhetetlenségig összeroncsolódott. 7 ukrán vendégmunkás és a kisbusz vezetője a helyszínen életét vesztette. A katasztrófavédelem mentősei mentettek ki a holttesteket az autóroncsból. A balesettel kapcsolatban a Pszkov megyei rendőrség büntetőeljárást indított.
