A 44 éves Daniel Hydent a helyszínen őrizetbe vették, ittas vezetéssel vádolják, de további vádemelések várhatóak.

A sofőr otthagyta az autót, de nem jutott messzire, a rendőrök elfogták a közeli Emma hídon. „A férfi nem tudta magát azonosítani, és megtagadta az alkoholszondát” – mondta később a rendőrség szóvivője. A 35 éves férfit letartóztatták, és a rendőrség alaposan átkutatta az autóját.
Előkerült egy hamis jogosítvány, amelyen Boris Johnson volt brit miniszterelnök neve, fotója és születési dátuma szerepelt.
Az okmányt állítólag 2019-ben állították ki, és 3000 végéig volt érvényes.
A holland rendőrség még nem tudta beazonosítani, hol készítették a hamis okmányt, de Kysia Hekster, a holland közszolgálati csatorna volt oroszországi tudósítója szerint Ukrajnában a turisztikai üzletekben könnyen lehet játék jogosítványokat venni.
A rendőrségi szóvivő egyébként úgy tudja, az igazi Boris Johnson nem tartózkodott vasárnap Hollandiában.
