Augusztus 8-án, éjszaka Ungváron, a Dajbozska utcában a rendőrök járőrözés közben a közlekedési szabályok megsértése miatt megállítottak egy BMW-t.
A sofőr gyanúsan viselkedett, ezért a rendőrök felajánlották, hogy vegyen részt orvosi vizsgálaton az esetleges ittasság megállapítása céljából. A férfi ezt elutasította. Az ellenőrzés során kiderült, hogy korábban bírósági határozattal megfosztották járművezetési jogától, és ezt a tilalmat figyelmen kívül hagyta.
A szabálysértővel szemben jegyzőkönyvet készítettek a Közigazgatási Szabálysértési Törvénykönyv 130. cikkelyének 2. része (ismételten elkövetett ittas vezetés) alapján, valamint határozatot hoztak a Közigazgatási Szabálysértési Törvénykönyv 126. cikkelyének 4. része (vezetési jogtól megfosztott személy általi vezetés) alapján. A bírságok teljes összege meghaladja az 54 ezer hrivnyát.
Emellett nyomozókat is hívtak a helyszínre, mivel a férfi cselekedetei bűncselekményre utaló jeleket mutatnak. A végső döntést a bíróság hozza meg, számolt be a Kárpátaljai Járőrrendőrség.

Április 27-én, hajnali 2 óra körül a járőrszolgálat egysége bejelentést kapott egy Skoda jármű sofőrjéről, aki megszegte a közlekedési szabályokat.
A járművet hamarosan megtalálták, de a megállásra utasító hang- és fényjelzések ellenére a sofőr nem állt meg.
Ezenkívül a sofőr, amikor egy mellékútról a főútra tért, nem adott elsőbbséget a főúton közlekedő Citroen típusú személygépkocsinak. Emiatt a Citroen sofőrje kénytelen volt hirtelen fékezni és irányt váltani, ami balesetveszélyes helyzetet okozott.
A szabálysértő sofőrt később megállították. Alkohol- és drogfogyasztás jeleit lehetett látni rajta, de a vizsgálatot megtagadta.
Több közigazgatási eljárást is indítottak a jogsértő ellen Ukrajna közigazgatási bűncselekményekről szóló törvénykönyve alapján, nevezetesen:
1. 126.cikkely 4.része (gépjármű vezetése okmányok nélkül)
2. 122-2. cikkely (elsőbbségadás elmulasztása)
3. 122. cikkely 5.része (balesetveszélyes helyzet létrehozása)

Két kisgyerek meghalt, hatan pedig megsérültek, amikor busz hajtott egy napközis óvoda épületébe a kanadai Montreal elővárosában. A rendőrség szerint a buszvezető szándékosan hajthatott az épületbe, de az indítékot még nem tudják. Szemtanúk szerint a sofőr az ütközés után kiszállt, levetkőzött és ordítozni kezdett, vagyis láthatóan zavart állapotban volt.
A szülők éppen óvodába vitték a gyerekeiket, amikor egy autóbusz egyenesen belehajtott az épületbe. „A párom hívott reggel, hogy a szeme láttára egy iskolabusz rohant a napközi épületébe” – mondta egy szülő.
A baleset következtében két kisgyerek a helyszínen életét vesztette. Hat másik pedig életveszélyes sérüléseket szenvedett. A jármű kihajtott a buszfordulóból és az óvoda parkolóján keresztül belehajtott az épületbe. A baleset után a sofőr láthatóan zavart állapotban volt: ordítva szállt ki a buszból és ledobálta magáról a ruháit.
Végül három szülőnek sikerült a földre tepernie a sofőrt.
Az 51 éves férfit a kiérkező rendőrök őrizetbe vették. Gondatlan vezetés és emberölés vádjával indítanak eljárást ellene. Laval polgármestere a helyszínen azt mondta, hogy a gyanúsított büntetlen előéletű, az indítéka egyelőre ismeretlen.
A kanadai parlament alsóháza egy perc néma csenddel emlékezett a tragédia áldozataira. Justin Trudeau kanadai miniszterelnök részvétét fejezte ki a családoknak, köszönetet mondott a hatóságoknak és a mentőegységeknek. A rendőrség további részleteket egyelőre nem árult el az esetről, de átfogó nyomozást ígért. Azt is vizsgálják, hogy a gyanúsított szándékosan vagy véletlenül okozta-e a balesetet, illetve, hogy van-e bármilyen köze az esetnek az intézményhez.

Huszonöt gyermeket mentett ki Észak-Olaszországban kedden a buszsofőr a lángoló járművéből – közölte a helyi sajtó és a tűzoltóság.
A busz egy gyorsforgalmi úton lévő alagútban kapott lángra Lecco város és Lierna település között. A jármű teljesen kiégett, de a sofőrnek még ezelőtt sikerült az összes utasát kimenekítenie.
Az ANSA olasz hírügynökség szerint a vezető műszaki meghibásodást észlelt, és még az alagútban leállította a buszt, majd gyorsan biztonságba helyezte a térségből származó gyerekeket. Egy tűzoltó az Adnkronos hírügynökségnek elmondta, hogy
feltehetőleg defektet kapott a busz egyik kereke, és emiatt keletkezett a tűz.
Hozzátette, hogy a gyerekek már a mentőegységek kiérkezése előtt biztonságban voltak.
A mentősök kilenc gyermeket kivizsgálásra beszállítottak egy kórházba.
