Borzalmas robbanás történt szombat este az észak-afganisztáni Szalang-alagútban – jelentették a helyi hatóságok.
A robbanás következtében legalább tizenegyen meghaltak és mintegy harmincan megsérültek. Az illetékes hatóságok attól tartanak, hogy az áldozatok száma tovább növekedhet – írja a Tények.
A szombati szerencsétlenség egy technikai probléma miatt történt – mondta el Hamidulláh Muszbah minisztériumi szóvivő. Hozzátette, a robbanás okozta tűz a tartályról átterjedt a közeli járművekre is. A pusztító lángokat több óra után sikerült megfékezniük a tűzoltóknak.
A Kabult az ország északi részével összekötő alagút továbbra is zárva van a forgalom előtt. Helyi tisztségviselők és szemtanúk szerint a füst és a gázok miatt még senkinek sem sikerült bejutnia az alagútba.
