Szélvihar szakította meg áramellátást Oroszországban a Krasznojarszki terület 12 településén, mintegy 35 ezer ember maradt áram nélkül, de Szibéria más területein is súlyos károkat okozott az elektromos hálózatban a vihar.
A vihar a Krasznojarszki területen hétfőn is folytatódik, és a széllökések elérik majd a másodpercenkénti 25 métert, emellett pedig tízfokos hirtelen lehűlés is várható. A kedvezőtlen időjárási körülmények miatt az autóbusz- és repülőjáratok késésére lehet számítani.
Krasznojarszkban a Rosszija légitársaság egy Superjet 100-as utasszállítója csak negyedik kísérletre tudott leszállni, miután fél órán át körözött a város felett.
Több ember életét vesztette Szibéria több más régiójában, az Altaji területen, az Altaj Köztársaságban, Hakaszföldön, valamint Kemerovo és Omszk megyében is több tízezer fogyasztót érintő fennakadások keletkeztek az áramellátásában a vihar miatt. Az erős szél vezetékeket szakított el és tartóoszlopokat döntött ki.
A Kemerovo megyei Novokuznyeckben, ahol a vihar két ember halálát és további hat sérülését okozta, szükségállapotot vezettek be. A városban 47 lakóház tetőszerkezete sérült meg, több mint kétszáz fa dőlt ki, valamint 30 gépkocsiban és a szociális infrastruktúra 45 létesítményében keletkeztek károk. A széllökések sebessége itt meghaladta a másodpercenkénti 35-38 métert.
A 2014-ben Ukrajnától elcsatolt Krím félszigeten lévő Kercsben is megszakadt több városrész áramellátása az erős szél miatt. A városban mintegy kéttucatnyi fa dőlt ki. Az érintett régiókban helyreállítási munkálatok folynak.
