Október 27-én, 19:08-kor a mentőszolgálathoz érkezett bejelentés egy épületben keletkezett tűzről Szerednyén. A helyszínre a 3. és 5. számú állami tűzoltó-mentő egységek vonultak ki Ungvárról és Szerednyéről.
Amikor a tűzoltók megérkeztek, a helyszínen már mentősök dolgoztak, akik ellátták, majd kórházba szállították a 2023-ban született gyermeket, aki füstmérgezés jeleit mutatta.
A lángok 10 négyzetméteren okoztak kárt. Az udvari épület tetőszerkezete sérült meg. A tűz okát és a keletkezett kár mértékét vizsgálják.

Tragikus kimenetelű közlekedési baleset történt Szerednye közelében – közölte a kárpátaljai rendőrség.
A tájékoztatás szerint egy 65 éves, beregszászi járásbeli férfi Lada típusú személyautóval Munkács felé tartott, amikor egy kanyarban elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, és az árokba sodródott. A baleset következtében a sofőr olyan súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett, hogy a mentők kiérkezése előtt életét vesztette.
A rendőrség büntetőeljárást indított, a gépjárművet pedig lefoglalták.

Az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) leleplezett egy tisztviselőt, aki „adót” vetett ki hazai cégek képviselőire, amelyek tűzifa szállításával foglalkoznak. Az eset Szerednyén történt.
A nyomozás adatai szerint egy kereskedelmi vállalkozás képviselője megnyert egy közbeszerzési pályázatot, amely a községi tanács számára történő fahasáb szállításáról szólt. Ahelyett, hogy szabályosan lebonyolították volna az ügyletet, a helyi önkormányzati szerv tisztviselője 15% „visszafizetést” követelt a szerződés jövőbeli összegéből.
Cserébe a pénzért a hivatalnok lehetőséget „biztosított” a szerződés megkötésére a községi tanáccsal, valamint „garantálta” a szállított áru akadálytalan átvételét és időben történő kifizetését.
Az SZBU munkatársai több vesztegetési esetet is dokumentáltak.
Az ügyben folynak a további vizsgálatok.

Két héttel ezelőtt, november elején veszett nyoma Szerednyén egy 18 éves fiúnak, aki szülinapozni indult, ám nem érkezett meg a buliba. A falu minden lakója őt kereste, mindhiába.
