Az Nemzeti Rendőrség megyei migrációs osztályának munkatársai az Állami Határőrszolgálattal együttműködve nemzetközi embercsempészettel foglalkozó csatornát blokkoltak.
A nyomozás során a rendőrök kiderítették, hogy egy 41 éves kárpátaljai származású férfi lányokat toboroz szexrabszolgaságba, egy külföldi „modellügynökségnél” végzett munka álcája alatt. A közösségi hálózatokon folytatott kommunikáció során a férfi 10 000 dolláros havi keresetet ígért a „modelleknek”. Ehhez azonban a nőknek először fényképeiket és személyes adataikat kellett megadniuk az úgynevezett „castinghoz”.
A férfi egy 25 éves ungvári nőt is beszervezett. Turistavízumot állított ki számára, és megpróbálta kivinni Ukrajnából, hogy tovább szállítsák Kambodzsába.
Az ukrán–magyar határátkelőn tartóztatták le a hatóságok és a KORD speciális alakulat munkatársai.
Az ügyben folynak a vizsgálatok.
