Az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet merényletre készülő egyik követőjét likvidálták a Murmanszk megyei Kandalaksa városban a hatóságok – közölte csütörtökön az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB).
Az FSZB szerint a helyi külföldről érkezett utasítást követve tervezett terrorcselekményeket tervezett elkövetni a térség katonai létesítményei ellen. A férfit megpróbálták őrizetbe venni, amikor egy házilag előállított robbanószerkezetet vett elő a város külterületén lévő rejtekhelyről, de tüzet nyitott, amit a biztonsági szolgálat emberei viszonoztak.
Az akciónak a gyanúsítotton kívül nem volt más áldozata. A helyszínen és a férfi otthonában egy kész pokolgépet, valamint bombakészítéshez szükséges alkatrészeket, hideg- és lőfegyvereket, lőszereket és konspiratív kommunikációs eszközöket foglaltak le.
Az elmúlt két év során mintegy nyolcvan terrortámadást hiúsítottak meg Oroszországban. Ezeket leggyakrabban iszlamisták tervezték elkövetni, az ország európai részén.
