A napokban bejelentés érkezett a mentőszolgálathoz, hogy a Técsői járásban található Klimova-hegy térségében két Lembergből érkezett turista segítségre szorul.
Mint kiderült, a 2006-os és 2007-es születésű túrázók regisztrálták útvonalukat a hegyimentőknél, és azt tervezték, hogy egy nap alatt végigjárják a Kraszna-havas gerincét. Azonban a hegyekben hirtelen elromlott az időjárás – vihar és erős jégeső csapott le. A fiúk kénytelenek voltak menedéket keresni egy pásztorkunyhóban, ahonnan telefonáltak a mentőszolgálatnak. A hegyi mentők eljutottak a turistákhoz, forró teával kínálták őket, majd elszállították mindkettejüket a legközelebbi lakott helyre. A fiatalok egészségi állapota kielégítő volt, így orvosi ellátásra nem szorultak.
A hírt a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ) közölte.

A la Nazione lap közölte a hírt, miszerint egy amerikai turista felmászott a firenzei dóm kilátó kupolájára és életét vesztette.
A 67 éves férfi rosszul lett a kilátón. A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett a mentőszolgálat és kórházba szállították, azonban a turista életét sajnos nem sikerült megmenteni.
A dóm adminisztrációja figyelmeztette a turistákat, miszerint a mászás veszélyes azok számára, akik egészségügyi problémákkal küzdenek.

Az asszony 2009 novemberében utazott Thaiföldre, majd ott is maradt, egészen a férje haláláig.
Letartóztatta a thaiföldi rendőrség azt az idős magyar hölgyet, aki lejárt vízummal, illegálisan tartózkodott az országban. Nem apró kihágásról van azonban szó: az asszony ugyanis nem kevesebb mint 4000 nappal, azaz tíz évvel lépte túl a megengedett tartózkodási időt.
A thethaiger.com thaiföldi lap tudósítása szerint a hölgy 2009 novemberében érkezett turistaként az országba a férjével, és nem foglalkozott azzal, hogy a tartózkodási engedélyét meghosszabbítsa.
Az pedig így 2010 februárjában lejárt.
A nő Koh Samui szigetén, Bophutban élt, valódi földi paradicsomban. Néhány hete azonban a nő férje elhunyt. Az asszony nem találta magát a gyászidőszakban, és fel-alá sétálgatott, amikor egy strand mellett megállították a rendőrök és az iratait kérték. Így derült ki, hogy illegálisan él az országban, ezért azonnal letartóztatták.
A törvények szerint a magyar nőt 20 ezer bahtra (kb. 16 ezer hrivnyára) büntethetik és tíz évre kitilthatják az országból.

A 23 éves fiatal hölgy egy négytagú csoport tagjaként indult el Pilipecről Volócra a Velikij Verh és Plaj hegyen keresztül. A Plaj hegynél a lány megcsúszott, s kificamodott a lába.
Barátai megpróbáltak segíteni rajta, bekötötték a lábát, azonban nem tudott tovább haladni. A helyszínre kiérkezett a mentőcsapat, akik a volóci vonatállomásra szállították. A lány nem igényelt orvosi segítséget, úgy döntött, hazautazik, s ott keresi fel a kórházat.

A földnek csapódott egy eltűnt túrázót kereső haditengerészeti helikopter még pénteken, a kaliforniai White-hegységben. A négyfős legénységnek több mint 20 órát kellet a zord terepen tartózkodnia, mielőtt kimentették volna a bajba jutott természetjárót – számolt be a Fox News amerikai hírportál.
A péntek este indított mentőakció ugyan kudarcba fulladt, de a mentőhelikopter legénységének még épp időben sikerült éjszakai mentőcsomagokkal segíteni a bajbajutott kirándulót – olvasható a haditengerészet közleményében.
A négyfős személyzet sérülés nélkül túlélte a balesetet, de éjszakára nekik is 3500 méteres tengerszint feletti magasságban kellett maradniuk.
A szombati nap is hasonló nehézségekkel indult, de a harmadik próbálkozás során, sikerült megmenteni a négy, az éjszakára a vadonban ragadt katonát. A baleset oka jelenleg ismeretlen, de a haditengerészet a Naval Safety Center segítségével jelenleg is vizsgálatot folytat az ügyben.
