Holland sajtóbeszámolók szerint robbanás okozott károkat egy zsidó iskolában Amszterdam városában. A település polgármestere, Femke Halsema úgy nyilatkozott, hogy az eset nagy valószínűséggel a zsidó közösség ellen irányuló célzott támadás lehetett – számolt be az Index.
A beszámolók szerint a robbanás az éjszaka folyamán történt. A rendőrség és a tűzoltók gyorsan a helyszínre érkeztek, az épületben keletkezett károk azonban egyelőre korlátozottak – tájékoztatott a SkyNews.
Arról egyelőre nincs információ, hogy megsérült-e valaki.
A hatóságok már vizsgálják azokat a kamerafelvételeket, amelyeken állítólag látható az a személy, aki felrobbantotta a szerkezetet.

A történtek után tovább szigorították a biztonsági intézkedéseket az amszterdami zsidó iskolák és intézmények körül. A feszültséget növeli, hogy az elmúlt napokban Rotterdamban és a belgiumi Liège városában is támadás érte zsinagógákat.
Az ügyben a holland rendőrség nyomozást indított, a hatóságok egyelőre nem közöltek részleteket az elkövetőről.

Szerdán két, magát Izrael- és palesztinbarátnak valló diákcsoport csapott össze a Concordia Egyetemen, három embert megsebesítve – közölte az egyetem. A rendőrségnek kellett beavatkoznia, egy nőt pedig letartóztattak testi sértésért.
Az interneten közzétett horogkeresztekről és gyűlöletkeltésről is beszámolt az intézmény, amely a megfélemlítési cselekmények aggasztó növekedését említi az elmúlt napokban. A rendőrség csütörtökön bejelentette, hogy megerősíti a biztonsági intézkedéseket az imahelyek és az iskolák körül. A zsidó közösséget, amelynek közel 300 éves történelme van Québecben, támadás éri – ítélte el sajtótájékoztatón Yair Szlak, a CJA Szövetség elnevezésű zsidó szervezet elnöke.
