Президент США Джо Байден у п’ятницю наказав розсекретити документи, які стосуються розслідування ФБР терактів 11 вересня.
Про це повідомляється на сайті Білого дому.
„Коли я балотувався на пост президента, я взяв на себе зобов’язання забезпечити прозорість щодо розсекречення документів про терористичні атаки на Америку 11 вересня 2001 року”, – йдеться в оприлюдненій заяві Байдена.
„Сьогодні я підписав розпорядження, яке наказує Міністерству юстиції та іншим відповідним відомствам контролювати розсекречення документів, пов’язаних з розслідуваннями ФБР 11 вересня. Розпорядження вимагає від генерального прокурора оприлюднити розсекречені документи протягом наступних шести місяців”, – сказано у заяві.
Члени сімей жертв терактів 11 вересня попросили у четвер уряд США перевірити їхні підозри у тому, що ФБР брехало або знищувало докази, які пов’язують Саудівську Аравію з викрадачами літаків.
Саудівська Аравія заявляла, що не відігравала жодної ролі в атаках, здійснених викраденими літаками.
Родичі жертв роками наполягають на отриманні додаткової інформації про те, що саме ФБР виявило у своєму розслідуванні.
