Співробітники правоохоронних органів повідомили, що агенти секретної служби, яка охороняє Трампа, помітили озброєного чоловіка в кущах поблизу поля для гольфу, недалеко від місця, де грав Трамп. Агенти зробила попереджувальні постріли, і підозрюваний втік, але згодом був затриманий.
Влада припускає, що ця людина хотіла стріляти в Трампа. Також у поліції підтвердили повідомлення сина кандидата Дональда Трампа-молодшого, який написав у соцмережі X, що у кущах знайшли автомат.
За словами шерифа, затриманий не робив жодних заяв. Його ім’я влада не назвала.
Раніше у передвиборному штабі Дональда Трампа заявили, що неподалік від місця, де він перебував, у неділю сталася стрілянина, Трамп у безпеці, він не постраждав. У повідомленні не йшлося про те, де саме стався інцидент і чи йшлося про замах на Трампа.
Згодом джерела низки американських ЗМІ у правоохоронних органах підтвердили, що розслідують інцидент як можливу спробу замаху на колишнього президента.
У відомстві місцевого шерифа повідомили, що внаслідок інциденту ніхто не постраждав. Там також підтвердили, що одна людина, яка, ймовірно, мала відношення до інциденту, була затримана, але не коментували, чи планувала вона напад на колишнього президента.

Американське ФБР та інші компанії з США допомагають Україні збирати докази скоєння воєнних злочинів.
Про це повідомляє Reuters з посиланням на свої джерела у Вашингтоні.
В основному йдеться про цифрову інформацію, таку як перехоплення дзвінків, геолокацію, інформацію з мобільних телефонів та їх власників.
Зазначається, що ФБР не приховує, що допомагає українській стороні.
«Збір інформації, її аналіз та подальше застосування – це те, в чому ФБР має великий досвід», – сказав Reuters спецагент ФБР Алекс Кобзанець.
Крім того, проводяться аналізи зразків ДНК убитих цивільних і загиблих військових.
Все це – свідчення тісної співпраці США та України в галузі кібербезпеки, в якій обидві країни вважають росію загрозою, зазначає агентство.
У ФБР заявляють, що до збору та аналізу даних також залучено низку американських профільних компаній, і шанси того, що максимальну кількість воєнних злочинів та винних у них буде встановлено, дуже високі.

У березні північнокорейська хакерська група Lazarus викрала криптовалюту на суму 625 мільйонів доларів, з яких ФБР змогло повернути 30 мільйонів.
За допомогою блокчейн-аналізатора Chainalysis Федеральне бюро розслідувань вилучило криптовалюту на 30 мільйонів доларів, викрадену північнокорейською хакерською групою Lazarus, повідомляє Engadget.
Ці кошти є незначною частиною криптовалюти на суму 625 мільйонів доларів, яку зловмисники з Північної Кореї викрали з онлайн-гри Axie Infinity, заснованої на цифрових валютах. Це перший випадок конфіскації криптовалюти, викраденої північнокорейською групою хакерів.
Власники онлайн-гри повідомили, що повернуті цифрові активи будуть поступово спрямовуватися жертвам, але це може зайняти кілька років.
Північнокорейська група, названа на честь біблійного Лазаря, діє понад десять років. У 2014-му ці хакери атакували компанію Sony після того, як вона зняла комедію про Кім Чен Ина. Окрім розповсюдження програм-вимагачів, за останні роки група пограбувала кілька банків, казино та компаній.
У 2015-му зловмисники зламали ІТ-систему центральної кредитної установи в Бангладеш і заволоділи понад мільярдом доларів, але зрештою змогли вкрасти лише 81 мільйон. Співробітники ФБР не знають, скільки людей у цій групі, хто її керівник, але впевнені, що хакери працюють на уряд Північної Кореї.
У їхніх акціях бере участь злочинний світ. У Сполучених Штатах вважають, що їм допомагають і китайські спецслужби. Раніше група хакерів запустила криптовалюту під назвою Marine Chain, яка була шахрайством: інвестори, що купували її, втратили свої гроші. Lazarus створює криптовалютні гаманці та програми, а потім використовує отримані таким чином дані для крадіжки статків трейдерів. Tornado Cash, яка нещодавно потрапила під санкції США, використовувалася для відмивання крадених грошей.

1 вересня ФБР та Міністерство внутрішньої безпеки США провели обшуки в будинках, які можуть бути пов’язані з російським олігархом та союзником Володимира Путіна Віктором Вексельбергом. Про це повідомляє американський телеканал NBC News.
Детективи побували в його будинку на Фішер-Айленді в Маямі, у маєтку в Саутгемптоні (штат Нью-Йорк), а також у квартирі на Парк-авеню на Манхеттені. Як уточнюється, звідти поліція винесла кілька коробок.
В офіційних інстанціях у США причини обшуків поки не коментують.
Російський підприємець з оточення Путіна також є об’єктом розслідування міністерства юстиції США за звинуваченням у банківському шахрайстві. Жодних звинувачень у цій справі поки не пред’явлено.
Віктор Вексельберг — під санкціями з 2018 року
Віктор Вексельберг із березня 2022 року перебуває під санкціями США у зв’язку з війною в Україні.
До цього санкції проти нього запроваджували ще у квітні 2018 року США через його ймовірну причетність до втручання в американські вибори. Всі його активи у США заморозили, американським компаніям заборонено співпрацювати з олігархом із країни-агресора.
Очолювана Вексельбергом група компанія „Ренова” включає металургійні, гірничодобувні, технологічні та ряд інших активів.

Сайт пропонує свої послуги в доволі привабливій формі: «У вас є проблема, яку потрібно вирішити? Маючи понад 17 985 співробітників у США, ми знайдемо правильне рішення для вас!» Сайт публікує відгуки задоволених фальшивих клієнтів з різних куточків країни.
Він створювався як жарт, але зрештою, за інформацією поліції, допоміг запобігти понад 150 убивствам, співпрацюючи безпосередньо з правоохоронними органами.
Агенти ФБР затримали жінку 6 липня після зустрічі з нею в ресторані. Зандра Елліс хотіла позбавити життя іншу громадянку, бо думала, що та хоче вбити її. У ресторані зловмисниця передала домовлені 100 доларів агенту, який записав розмову й запитав, як вона бажає отримати підтвердження, що робота успішно виконана. Відтак жінку після виходу з ресторану взяли під варту. До речі, у неї виявили пістолет.
За даними оператора сайту, на запущений кілька років тому Rent-A-Hitman.com у 2020-му надійшло 58 запитів, а за перші шість місяців 2022-го – уже 331. Більшість громадян, які шукають убивцю, хочуть помститися людям, які знущалися з них, начальникам, орендодавцям, коханцям.

Федеральні слідчі звинувачують втікачку в ошуканстві своїх жертв на понад 4 мільярди доларів. Жінка перебуває в розшуку з 2017 року, відколи американська влада видала ордер на її арешт.
У 2014 році компанія OneCoin, яка ідентифікувала себе як криптовалюту, запропонувала своїм клієнтам бонуси, якщо ті передадуть цифрову валюту кільком людям. Однак, на думку агентів ФБР, продукт OneCoin був нічого не вартим і ніколи не був захищеним технологією блокчейн, яку використовують інші криптовалюти.
За словами федеральних прокурорів, це була по суті схема Понці, замаскована під криптовалюту, тобто своєрідна піраміда, в якій попередні інвестори отримували гроші нових інвесторів, аж поки система не обвалилася.
ФБР додає людину в свій список найбільш розшукуваних злочинців, якщо вважає, що громадськість може допомогти знайти певну особу.
У заяві, оприлюдненій у четвер, бюро запропонувало винагороду в 100 000 доларів США за інформацію, яка призведе до арешту Ігнатової. Вона – єдина жінка в списку із 10 осіб, найбільш розшукуваних ФБР. Востаннє її бачили у 2017 році, коли вона сіла на авіарейс із Болгарії до Греції, й відтоді перебуває у розшуку.

Американські спортивні гімнастки та інші спортсменки, які постраждали від сексуального насильства з боку екслікаря збірної США Ларрі Нассара, вимагають понад мільярд доларів компенсації від Федерального бюро розслідувань за халатність і маніпуляції під час розслідування цієї справи. Про це повідомляє Associated Press із посиланням на адвокатів спортсменок.
У 2017-2018 роках Нассара засудили загалом до близько трьохсот років ув’язнення за зберігання дитячої порнографії та сексуальні злочини проти неповнолітніх. На сьогодні про домагання екслікаря заявили понад пів тисячі жінок і дівчат, з якими він працював упродовж 30 років.
Позов на ФБР подали 90 з них. Як повідомляють адвокати гімнасток, серед них – „усі олімпійські чемпіонки”, зокрема Сімон Байлз, Елі Рейзман та Маккейла Мароні, які торік свідчили проти ФБР у Конгресі.
Спортсменки звинувачують ФБР у тому, що те не вдалося до необхідних дій, аби зупинити злочини Нассара, коли отримали перші свідчення й докази його винуватості в 2015 році. Його затримали лише в 2016-му з іншого приводу: через знайдену в нього вдома дитячу порнографію.
„Час ФБР відповісти за свої вчинки”, – заявила чемпіонка світу 2015 року в команді Меґґі Ніколс.
„Якби ФБР просто робило свою роботу, Нассара б зупинили задовго до того, як він учинив насильство над сотнями дівчат, у тому числі мною”, – сказала Саманта Рой, колишня гімнастка, яка тренувалася в Університеті Мічигана, де працював Нассар.
ФБР має шість місяців на відповідь.

Діана Тоеббе, яка колись працювала вчителькою, була засуджена до трьох років ув’язнення за звинуваченням федеральної прокуратури, а її чоловік, 42-річний Джонатан Тоеббе, котрий визнав себе винним на початку цього тижня, – до 12–17 років позбавлення волі.
Подружжя намагалося продати іноземному уряду інформацію, приховану в бутерброді з арахісовим маслом. Чоловік надсилав повідомлення покупцеві, якого вважав іноземним чиновником, але насправді то був агент ФБР. Тоеббе, не знаючи, що потрапив у пастку, повністю довірився детективу.
Слідчі кажуть, що Джонатан Тоеббе роками збирав інформацію про атомні підводні човни й виносив документи зі свого робочого місця через контрольно-пропускні пункти.
Як стверджують адвокати його дружини Діани Тоеббе, повідомлення стосувалися того, що він не любив президента Дональда Трампа й жодного плану щодо продажу секретної інформації іноземній країні не містили.
Угода про визнання провини в таких випадках є незвичною. Федеральні слідчі дуже серйозно ставляться до подібних справ і можуть бути готові підтримати менше покарання для підсудних, якщо в обмін їм вдасться одержати від них інформацію, стверджують фахівці.
Прокурори можуть зменшити максимальне покарання, призначене обвинуваченому, якщо він розкриє деталі, які допоможуть у контррозвідувальних операціях, зазначив Деніел Річман, професор права з університету Колумбія, Нью-Йорк.
