 Загинули троє жінок та один чоловік, ще двоє постраждалих борються за своє життя у місцевих лікарнях.
 Поліція вже почала розслідування та встановлює тип вибухового апарата. Як одну з версій вибуху розглядають можливу помсту бойовиків «Ісламської держави», адже напередодні філіппінські військові ліквідували 11 бойовиків угруповання Dawlah Islamiyah-Philippines під час антитерористичної операції.
 Адміністрація університету призупинила заняття до подальшого повідомлення та направила додаткових співробітників служби безпеки для охорони кампусу.
