Az esetről a főtér.ro számolt be, beszámolójuk elejét szó szerint idézzük, mert magunk se tudtuk volna jobban leírni: „afelől kevés kétségünk volt, hogy a romániai börtönökben durva állapotok uralkodnak – a fogvatartottak és a börtönőrök számára egyaránt –, azonban a büntetés-végrehajtási szakszervezet képviselői szerint egyes esetekben a helyzet minden képzeletet felülmúlóan pocsék”.
A börtönőrök szakszervezete hétfőn felszólította az illetékeseket, hogy a börtönőrök testi épsége és egészsége védelmében tegyenek már valamit, illetve emeljék a pótlékjaikat. A felszólítást azzal nyomatékosították, hogy elmondták, a HIV-pozitív rabok egy része megpróbál rajtuk úgy bosszút állni, hogy HIV-vírussal szennyezett, hegyes eszközökkel szurkálják meg őket, hogy így megfertőződjenek.

Ukrajnában 2021 júliusában 415 új AIDS-es esetet regisztráltak, és 254-en haltak meg szerzett immunhiányos betegségben – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál csütörtökön a Közegészségügyi Központ adataira hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint Ukrajnában 2021 júliusban 1 426 HIV-fertőzött személyt vettek hivatalos nyilvántartásba. A regisztráltak közül 845-en heteroszexuális, 46-an homoszexuális úton, 525-en vér útján, 146-an méhen belül, 2-en ismeretlen úton fertőződtek meg a humán immunhiány vírussal.
Az Egészségügyi Minisztérium szakemberei hangsúlyozzák, hogy a HIV-fertőzés terjedésének leginkább egészséges életmód folytatásával, a kockázatos viselkedéstől való tartózkodással, az injekciós drogok kerülésével és óvszer használatával lehet véget vetni. Ugyancsak fontos, hogy mindenki felelősségteljesen viszonyuljon saját egészségéhez.

Több mint 170 ember halt meg AIDS-ben január folyamán Ukrajnában – közölte csütörtökön a Közegészségügyi Központ Facebook-oldalán.
A jelentés szerint
Ukrajnában a 2020 januári állapotoknak megfelelően 1268 új HIV-fertőzéses
esetet regisztráltak hivatalosan, 322 páciensnél diagnosztizálták az AIDS-t,
176-an pedig meghaltak a szerzett immunhiány okozta szövődményekben. A múlt év
decemberében a hasonló halálesetek száma 228 volt az országban.
A közlemény arra is
emlékeztetett, hogy a világban az utóbbi években csökkent a HIV-fertőzéses
esetek és az AIDS-ben elhunytak száma, miközben több fertőzött és beteg
részesült egészségügyi ellátásban. A járvány kezdete óta világszerte 74,9
millió ember fertőződött meg HIV-vírussal, és 32 milliónyian haltak meg
AIDS-ben.
