Iránban kivégeztek egy izraeli kémszervezetnek dolgozó férfit, ami rövid időn belül a sokadik ilyen eset.
Az iráni igazságügyi hírportál, a Mizan Online jelentése szerint egy férfit kivégeztek, akit azzal vádoltak meg, hogy Izrael javára kémkedett, miközben Irán súlyos forgatókönyveken gondolkozik az amerikai támadások miatt. A közlemény szerint a büntetőeljárás lefolytatása után született meg az ítélet, melynek értelmében vasárnap reggel felakasztották az eltítéltet.
A Legfelsőbb Bíróság is megerősítette a kivégzést, amit újabb akasztások követhetnek, miután számos izraeli kém elfogásáról számolt be Irán. A legutóbb kivégzett Majid Mosayebi állítólag „érzékeny információk” átadására törekedett Izrael hírszerző ügynöksége, a Moszad részére – jegyzi meg az Al Jazeera.
Irán és Izrael közötti évtizedek óta tartó árnyékháború jegyében az iráni hatóságok számos személyt végeztek ki, akik állítólagos kapcsolataik miatt a Moszaddal bűnösnek bizonyultak, különösen azok, akiket az atomprogramjuk aláásására irányuló szabotázs- vagy merényletkísérletekkel hoztak összefüggésbe.

Két férfit felakasztottak Iránban, akik az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet által elkövetett múlt októberi siíta szentély robbantásában vettek részt, amely 13 ember életét követelte – számolt be róla az IRNA iráni hírügynökség szombat reggel.
Az elítélt férfiak a tárgyalás során bevallották, hogy kapcsolatban áltak az Iszlám Állam afganisztáni dzsihadistáival, s segítettek kitervelni és végrehajtani a sirázi szentélyben történt robbantást.
Az állami televízióban is lejátszott biztonsági felvételeken látható, ahogy egy férfi egy gépkarabélyt rejtegetve belép a kegyhelyre, majd tüzet nyit a bent lévő hívőkre.
Mint később kiderült, az elkövető – aki nem sokkal később belehalt a támadás során elszenvedett sérüléseibe – tádzsikisztáni állampolgár volt.
Az Iszlám Állam folyamatos fenyegetettséget jelent a Közel-Kelet országaira. A szervezet iszlamistái már korábban is hajtottak végre terrortámadást Iránban, ők feleltek például a 2017-es összehangolt dupla teheráni terrortámadásért, mely során egyszerre érte támadás a teheráni parlamentet és az egykori iráni forradalmi vezető, Ruhollah Khomeini ajatollah mauzóleumát, a két támadásban 17-en haltak meg.

Roman Malik rejtélyes halálának körülményei egyelőre tisztázatlanok. Helyi sajtóhírek szerint Malikot felakasztva találták az otthonában. A hatóságok gyilkosság miatt indítottak nyomozást az ügyben, de nem zárták ki annak lehetőségét, hogy a férfi önkezével vethetett véget az életének.
