 A két páciensnél 1000-szeres túladagolást állapítottunk meg – mondta Marek Varga, a kórház toxikológus főorvosa. Az egyik beteg életveszélyes állapotban van, tudatzavarban szenved, idegrendszeri károsodásai vannak. Martin Novotný infektológus főorvos azt mondta, nagyon gyorsan túladagolhatják magukat az emberek az állatgyógyászati készítményekkel.
  „Már találkoztunk azzal is, hogy a beteg szájon át szedte a szárnyasoknak való külső csepegtető oldatot. Nem beszélve a lóbalzsamokról. Nagyon gyorsan túladagolhatják magukat” – figyelmeztetett Martin Novotný infektológus főorvos.
 Az ivermectin károsítja a májat, idegrendszeri problémákat okozhat, akár agresszivitást és tudatzavart is.
 „Ez nem Covid-19 elleni gyógyszer és nem is lesz az soha. Semmilyen tudományos kutatás nem tudta ezt alátámasztani. A kezdeti feltételezéseket, hogy segíthet az enyhe lefolyásában, már megcáfolták. Az ivermectint használó, hozzánk kerülő betegek gyakran kerülnek lélegeztetőgépre. A túladagolással kezelt páciens Covid-fertőzött is, súlyos tüdőgyulladása van” – mondta az infektológus.
