A svájci hatóságok vizsgálatot indítottak az Open Mineral nevű kereskedelmi vállalat ellen az orosz arannyal kapcsolatos, feltételezett szankciós jogsértések miatt. A svájci Swissinfo híre szerint a vizsgálatot a Gazdasági Államtitkárság (SECO) kezdeményezte, amely többek között a szankciós politikát is felügyeli.
A nyomozás arra irányul, hogy a vállalat 2022-ben esetlegesen megszegte-e a Oroszország elleni szankciókat az aranykereskedelem során.
Az Open Mineral megerősítette az AWP hírügynökségnek, hogy a vállalat vizsgálat alatt áll, múlt héten házkutatásokra is sor került. A cég teljes mértékben együttműködik a hatóságokkal, és továbbra is normál üzemi rendben működik.

Franciaországban a becslések szerint 600 000 euró értékű aranyrögöket loptak el a párizsi Nemzeti Természettudományi Múzeum gyűjteményéből, közölte a BFMTV, számolt be a Jevropejszka Pravda.
Az aranyrögök hiányát egy takarítónő vette észre, aki szeptember 16-án, kedden jött dolgozni. Később betörés nyomait észlelték a bejáratoknál.
„Az ellopott minták értékét a nyers arany árával megegyezően, körülbelül 600 000 euróra becsülik, de felbecsülhetetlen értékűek a történelmi örökség szempontjából” – közölte a múzeum. Hozzátették, hogy a lopás „kritikus időszakban történt a kulturális intézmények, különösen a múzeumok számára”.
„Az elmúlt hónapokban számos közgyűjteményt vettek célba tolvajok. A francia Nemzeti Természettudományi Múzeum sajnálatát fejezte ki a kutatás, a kulturális örökség és a közoktatás számára felbecsülhetetlen értékű veszteség miatt” – mondta a múzeum szóvivője.
A szervezett lopás ügyében nyomozást indítottak. A nyomozással a banditizmus elleni küzdelemért felelős brigádot (BRB) bízták meg.
A múzeum közölte, hogy a geológiai és ásványtani Galéria „biztonsági és nyomozati okokból” további értesítésig zárva marad a látogatók előtt, és „fokozott megfigyelés alatt” lesz.

Több mint húszmillió kanadai dollár értékű aranyat és más értékes tárgyakat loptak el a torontói repülőtéren hétfőn – közölte helyi idő szerint csütörtökön a rendőrség.
A helyi rendőrség vezetője, Stephen Duivesteyn a Toronto Star című lapnak arról számolt be, hogy az arany és a több értékes tárgy hétfő este érkezett a repülőtérre, a konténert a teheráruraktárából lopták el. Hangsúlyozta, a rendőrség úgy véli, hogy a lopás elszigetelt eset volt. Egyelőre senkit sem vettek őrizetbe.
A torontói repülőterek hatósága (GTAA) rövid közleményben számolt be arról, hogy a tolvajok az elsődleges biztonsági vonalon kívül, egy raktár külső oldalán át jutottak be, ami „nem érintette a Pearson repülőtér megközelítését, és nem jelentett veszélyt az utasokra vagy a GTAA személyzetére”.
Az országban bányászott aranyat gyakran a Pearsonon tárolják, mielőtt a tengerentúlra szállítják. Kanada légi áruforgalmának csaknem fele ezen a repülőtéren halad át. A Toronto Sun szerint több mint 1,6 tonna arany tűnhetett el a repülőtérről, ami jóval nagyobb mennyiség, mint a hatóságok által említett 20 millió dolláros értéknek megfelelő lenne.

Egy hivatalban lévő ügyész 2019-ben nyolc kiló aranyrudat lopott el házkutatás során egy banki magántrezorból, több mint 11,8 millió hrivnya értékben hamis okmányokkal – közölte hétfőn az rbc.ua hírportál a Nemzeti Korrupcióellenes Iroda (NABU) sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A NABU közleménye szerint az ügyész meghamisította hivatali ügyiratokat, azt tüntetve fel, hogy az arany egy olyan személyé, akinek semmi köze nem volt a banki széfhez. A korrupcióellenes hivatal és a Különleges Korrupcióellenes Ügyészség (SZAP) hétfőn törvénytelen vagyonszerzéssel és hatósági okirat-hamisítással gyanúsította meg a Legfőbb Ügyészség időközben elbocsátott ügyészét. A bűnüldöző szervek a károsult – széf- és aranyrúd-tulajdonos – hozzátartozóinak bejelentése alapján kezdték meg az ügy vizsgálatát.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy a kiberrendőrség júniusban leleplezett egy bűnözői csoportot, amely csalással foglalkozott az interneten. A bűnbanda európai szociális juttatások leple alatt több mint 100 millió hrivnyát loptak el ukrán állampolgároktól. A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a szélhámosok több mint 400 hamis internetes forrást hoztak létre, hogy megszerezzék az állampolgárok bankkártya-adatait. A weboldalakon keresztül felajánlották az „ügyfeleknek”, hogy nyújtsanak be kérelmet az Európai Unió országaitól érkezett pénzügyi támogatás kifizetésére. Ezt követően adathalász linkek segítségével megszerezték a bankkártyák adatait, majd felvették a pénzt áldozataik számláiról.

Március 24-én este a kárpátaljai vámhatóság korrupcióellenes osztálya 5,7 millió hrivnya értékben foglalt le illegális pénzeszközöket és aranyrudakat egy ukrán állampolgártól.
Az eset a Rahói járásban, Nagybocskó közelében történt, az ukrán–román határátkelőnél. Egy 1970-es és egy 1994-es születésű személy a határátkelőt megkerülve próbált átjutni Románia területére.
A náluk lévő táskák átvizsgálásakor 92 400 hrivnyát, 96 900 eurót, 71 200 dollárt és három, 300 grammos aranyrudat találtak.
Az ügyben eljárás indult, a pénzt és az aranyat a hatóságok lefoglalták.
