A legfrissebb jelentések alapján a Boko Haram dzsihadista csoport fegyveresei legkevesebb 81 embert öltek meg egy északkelet-nigériai faluban – közölte Abdulkarim Dungus, a yobei rendőrség szóvivője.
A beszámoló szerint a mintegy 150 szélsőséges motorkerékpárokon érkezett vasárnap délután Yobe állam Mafa nevű falujába, majd válogatás nélkül tüzet nyitottak gépkarabélyokból a helyi piacon, és házakat, üzleteket gyújtottak fel. Dungus szerint az áldozatok pontos számát még meg kell erősíteniük. Egy katonai tisztviselő hozzátette, hogy a faluhoz vezető utat az iszlamisták aláaknázták, de a robbanószerkezeteket a hadsereg erőinek időközben sikerült eltávolítaniuk. Dungus korábban elmondta, hogy a Mafa elleni akció megtorlás volt azért, mert egy helyi önbíráskodó csoport korábban megölte a Boko Haram két feltételezett tagját.
Helyi lakosok szerint az áldozatok száma jóval magasabb is lehet, a százat is meghaladhatja, tekintettel arra, hogy több olyan embert eltűntként kezelnek, akiket a támadók a bozótosba üldöztek, s feltehetőleg szintén megöltek.
Nigéria északkeleti részén a Boko Haram 2014-ben jelentős területeket hajtott uralma alá, majd kikiáltotta saját kalifátusát. A nigériai hadseregnek a csádi fegyveres erőkkel vállvetve sikerült visszaszereznie az ellenőrzést a terület felett, de az iszlamisták bevetették magukat a hegyekbe, ahonnan rendszeresen támadásokat hajtanak végre rettegésben tartva régió lakóit. Az utóbbi 15 évben több mint 40 ezer ember vesztette életét és kétmillióan voltak kénytelenek elmenekülni otthonaikból.
A dzsihadisták tevékenységüket a szomszédos Csádra, Nigerre és Kamerunra is kiterjesztették.ű

A rivális iszlamista csoport, a Nyugat-Afrikai Iszlám Állam (ISWAP) elleni harcok során felrobbantotta magát a Nigériában iszlám kalifátus létrehozásáért harcoló Boko Haram terrorszervezet vezetője, Abubakar Shekau – közölte a sajtóhoz vasárnap eljuttatott hangfelvételen a Shekau haláláról napvilágot látott első hírek után két héttel az ISWAP.
A hangfelvételen hallható hang, amely közölte, hogy Shekau május 18. körül, az ISWAP elől menekülve követte el tettét, feltehetően Abu Musab al-Barnawié, az ISWAP vezetőjéé.
A bejelentés szerint Shekaut a Borno államban található Sambisa térségében kerítették be, ahol öt napig bujkált a rivális csoport harcosai elől.
A Boko Haram egyelőre nem nyilatkozott vezetőjének haláláról, a nigériai kormány egyik tisztségviselője által nyilvánosságra hozott hírszerzési jelentés azonban megerősítette Shekau halálát.
Shekau 2010-ben vette át a Boko Haram irányítását, miután az előző vezető, Muhammed Yusuf rendőrségi őrizetben meghalt. Vezetése alatt a terrorszervezet több merényletet hajtott végre, és 2014-ben több északkelet-nigériai települést elfoglaltak azzal a céllal, hogy ott egy iszlám államot hozzanak létre, később azonban több, a Csád-tó környékén kiépített állást fel kellett adniuk a nigériai, csádi, kameruni és nigeri kormánycsapatokkal vívott harcokat követően.
Az ENSZ becslései szerint a térségben 2009 óta több mint 30 ezren vesztették életüket, és 2 millióan kényszerültek elhagyni otthonukat a dzsihadisták miatt.
Shekau idején a szervezet több emberrablást is végrehajtott, a dzsihadistákat terheli a felelősség 276 iskolás lány elrablásáért is 2014-ben a nigériai Chibok városban.
Az Iszlám Államnak hűséget fogadott ISWAP 2016-ban szakadt ki az iszlamista Boko Haramból, és immár ez a csoport van erőfölényben Nigéria északkeleti részén.
Elemzők szerint Shekau halálával – akinek a fejére az Egyesült Államok 7 millió dolláros (közel 2 milliárd forintos) vérdíjat tűzött ki – az ISWAP még inkább erősödni fog.

Nigériai fegyveresek szabadon engedtek 27 iskolás fiút, akiket múlt héten raboltak el az ország északi részén fekvő Kagara államban – írja a Reuters. A gyerekeket 12 hozzátartozójukkal és három iskolai dolgozóval együtt ejtették fogságba múlt szerdán – ők szintén mindannyian visszanyerték szabadságukat. Ugyanakkor egy fiút még a támadás során megöltek.
Az elengedett gyerekeket egy a Reutersnek nyilatkozó szemtanú is látta, amint a biztonsági erők emberei egy falun kísérik át őket. A gyerekek vizet kértek, többen járni is alig bírtak a szemtanú szerint.
Péntekre virradóra 317 iskolás lányt raboltak el fegyveresek a nigériai Zamfara államban.
Róluk továbbra sincsen semmi hír. Az állami rendőrség korábbi közlése szerint a rendőrség és a hadsereg közösen keresi őket.
Utóbbi támadsáról egy helyi lakos a dpa német hírügynökségnek azt mondta, a fegyveresek megszállták az iskolát, egybeterelték a lányokat, majd behajtották őket az erdőbe. A szemtanú szerint a fegyveresek egy másik csoportja megtámadott egy katonai ellenőrző pontot, körülbelül 200 méterre az iskolától. Más hírportálok szintén arról számoltak be, hogy a város más pontjain is lövéseket lehetett hallani.
A Save the Children (Mentsük meg a Gyerekeket) nevű nemzetközi segélyszervezet olyan jelentések birtokába jutott, amelyek szerint valójában 317-nél több, akár 450 diáklány is fogságba eshetett. Az AFP francia hírügynökség szerint az emberrablást váltságdíjért követték el.
Decemberben 350 fiút raboltak el egy iskolából, a szintén északi Katsina államban – őket végül sikerült kiszabadítani.
Az elmúlt hónapokban egyre gyakoribbá váló hasonló támadások és emberrablások miatt Muhammadu Buhari, Nigéria elnöke februárban leváltotta az ország hadseregének vezetőit.
A támadásokat a legtöbbször nem terrorszervezetek követik el, hanem olyan fegyveres csoportok, amikre „banditákként” hivatkoznak Nigériában. A legismertebb hasonló támadás ugyanakkor egy terrorszervezethez fűződik. 2014-ben a Boko Haram terroristái több mint 270 iskolás lányt raboltak el. Közülük nagyjából 100 kislány sorsáról a mai napig semmit sem lehet tudni.

Forrás: AFP/Audu Marte A múlt pénteki emberrablás elkövetőjeként a Boko Haram iszlamista terrorszervezet jelentkezett egy kedden közzétett hangfelvételen. A fegyveres támadók éjszaka hatoltak be a Katsina állambeli Kankara városának bentlakásos középiskolájába, és elhurcoltak magukkal több száz diákot. Az elmúlt években ez volt a legnagyobb ilyen incidens a térségben.
Katsina állam kormányzója, Aminu Bello Masari az NTA állami televíziónak azt mondta, hogy a biztonsági erőknek sikerült kiszabadítaniuk mind a 344 fiút, akiket a szomszédos Zamfara állam egyik erdőségében tartottak fogva elrablóik. Megtaláltuk a fiúk többségét, de nem mindegyiket – mondta.
A mentőakciót végrehajtó katonák bekerítették azt a helyet, ahol a diákokat fogva tartották, de parancsuk volt rá, hogy ne használják fegyvereiket. A kormányzó elmondta, hogy előzőleg közvetítőkön keresztül kapcsolatba léptek az emberrablókkal, hogy biztosítsák a gyerekek sértetlen elengedését. „Hála istennek megfogadták a tanácsunkat, és egyetlen lövés sem dördült el” – tette hozzá. A fiúkat visszaszállították Katsina államba, ahol orvosi vizsgálaton estek át, és még pénteken hazatérhettek családjukhoz.
Elrablásuk nagy figyelmet váltott ki Nigéria szerte, mivel a fekete-afrikai ország évek óta felzaklatott állapotban van a rossz biztonsági helyzet miatt, és élesen él a lakosság emlékezetében a Boko Haram 2014-es terrorcselekménye, amelyben 270 iskolás lányt hurcoltak el az északkeleti Chibok városból. Babakura Kolo, kinek milíciája a Boko Haram fegyveresei ellen harcol, az AFP francia hírügynökségnek nyilatkozva azt mondta, hogy a halottak mellett hatan súlyosan megsebesültek a Maiduguri városának közelében történt támadásban.
Nyolc munkást elhurcolhattak a dzsihadisták.
Kolo arról számolt be, hogy a földműveseket, akik Koshobe falu rizsföldjein dolgoztak, az iszlamisták megkötözték, majd elvágták a torkukat.
Negyvenhárom holttestet találtunk – mondta Kolo. Azt is mondta, kétség sem fér ahhoz, hogy a támadást a Boko Haram hajtotta végre. Az iszlamisták októberben két offenzíva során 22 földművest gyilkoltak meg Maiduguri térségében.
Maiduguri a forrongó Borno tartomány székhelye. Szombaton első alkalommal tartottak helyhatósági választásokat a városban, mióta több mint tíz éve fellázadtak az iszlamisták.
A voksolást az erőszak miatt ismét el kellett halasztani.
Bornóban tevékenykedik a Nyugat-afrikai Iszlám Szervezet (ISWAP) és a Boko Haram terrorszervezet is, amelyből 2016-ban vált ki az ISWAP. Az Iszlám Állammal kapcsolatban álló ISWAP és a Boko Haram is fokozta támadásait az utóbbi időben a favágók, az állattenyésztők és a halászok ellen, mert állítólag a hadsereg informátoraiként dolgoznak.

John Enenche, a nigériai hadsereg szóvivője szombaton közölte, hogy több tucat ISWAP-szélsőségessel végeztek az ország északkeleti térségében bombázások során.
A Hszinhua kínai hírügynökségnek azt mondta, az iszlamisták több rejtekhelyét is megsemmisítették Ngwuri Gana és Tumbuma Baba településeken. A bombázásokat a két térség légi felderítését követően hajtották végre – nyilatkozta az illetékes. A terroristák ezeken a helyszíneken tervezték és innen indították támadásaikat.
A Boko Haram Nigériában alakult 2002-ben, majd kiterjesztette tevékenységét a szomszédos Nigerre, Csádra és Kamerunra is, ahol helyi lakosokat toborzott. A szervezet célja egy iszlám kalifátus megteremtése. Az ENSZ adatai szerint megalakulása óta a Boko Haram mintegy 36 ezer embert ölt meg, a terrortámadások miatt pedig további 2,5 millióan kényszerültek otthonuk elhagyására.

A támadás az ország északnyugati részén, Zamfara államban történt. A rendőrség elmondása szerint a támadók imádkozó híveknek adták ki magukat, majd lövöldözni kezdtek. A mecset imámját is elrabolták.
A Boko Haram radikális iszlamista terrorszervezet támadásai által sújtott Nigériában nem ez az első eset, hogy egyházi épületekre támadnak, így keresztény templomokat és mecseteket is ért már támadás, de hogy pontosan mi lehetett ezen támadás oka, nem tudni.

Elrablásuk előtt nem sokkal az Iszlám Állam nevű terrorszervezettel szövetséges, helyi Boko Haram egyik szárnya azt közölte, hogy célba veszik azokat, akik segélyszervezeteknek dolgoznak, vagy segítik az ország hadseregét.
Muhammadu Buhari nigériai elnök hivatala közleményt adott ki, amelyben az állami katasztrófaelhárítás és három segélyszervezet dolgozóiként azonosította az áldozatokat. Az elnök egyúttal azt ígérte, a hatóságok mindent meg fognak tenni, hogy felelősségre vonják az elkövetőket.

Kedden legalább 69 embert meggyilkoltak a Boko Haram terrorista szervezet tagjai a Nigéria északi részén fekvő Borno államban – jelentették különböző források.
A támadók Ak-47-es gépkarabélyokkal felfegyverkezve érkeztek járműveken és motorkerékpárokon Faduma Koloram településre kedd délben. Egy helybeli elmondta, a fegyveresek azért ütöttek rajta a településen, mert azt gyanították a lakosokról, hogy a Boko Haram embereinek mozgásáról tájékoztatták a biztonsági erőket. A lakosokat meggyilkolták, a falut lerombolták, 1200 marhát és tevét elhajtottak.
A történteket megerősítette egy helybeli, valamint a Boko Haram nigériai dzsihadista szervezet ellen harcoló Egyesített Civil Erők (CJTF) nevű nigériai önvédelmi milícia egy tagja, továbbá egy kormánykatona.
Kachallah Bumu a CJTF tagja azt mondta, hogy korábban a falusiak, akiknek volt fegyverük el tudták riasztani a terroristákat, de ez alkalommal meglepték őket.
A Boko Haram Nigériában alakult 2002-ben, majd kiterjesztette tevékenységét a szomszédos Nigerre, Csádra és Kamerunra is, ahol helyi lakosokat toborzott. A szervezet célja egy „iszlám kalifátus” megteremtése. Az általuk elkövetett merényletekben az utóbbi tíz évben emberek tízezrei vesztették életüket. Az ENSZ adatai szerint megalakulása óta a szervezet csaknem 27 ezer embert ölt meg, a terrortámadások miatt pedig további 2,5 millióan kényszerültek otthonuk elhagyására.
