Ezer hektárról ötszáz hektárra csökkent szerdára a nyugat-csehországi „Cseh Svájc” Nemzeti Parkban több, mint tíz napja pusztító erdőtűz területe. Ezt a cseh tűzoltóság Facebook-oldalán jelentette be.
Az erdőtűzzel több, mint ezer tűzoltó küzd, akik az elmúlt napokban több ideiglenes víztárolót létesítettek és mintegy 80 kilométernyi csővezetéket fektettek le a térségben, ami hatékonyabbá tette az oltást.
„A tűzoltók nagyon nehéz terepen dolgoznak, a bevetett egységeket gyakran kell cserélni, ezért van szükség még több emberi erőre” – mutatott rá már korábban a szóvivő.
A bevetésekben eddig több mint egytucatnyi tűzoltó sérült meg, ketten közülük kórházi ápolásra is szorultak.
A rendkívül nehéz, sziklás térségben a hatékonyságot alapvető módon megnövelte a helikopterek és repülőgépek bevetése. Milan Rudolf, a tűzoltóság regionális szóvivője újságíroknak elmondta, hogy jelenleg öt helikopter és két svéd repülőgép segít a tűzoltásban, két további repülőgép pedig délután csatlakozik a mentéshez.
Az erdőtűz miatt a régió öt településéről mintegy ötszáz embert telepítettek ki. Két településre hétfőn visszatérhetnek az ott élők, míg három továbbra is zárva van. Az elhagyott házakat a rendőrség és a tűzoltóság felügyeli.
Továbbra is zárva van a Hrensko cseh-német határátkelő. A Nemzeti Park szintén zárva van.
Szakértői becslések szerint az erdőtűz több száz milliós kárt okozott,
ezek nagyságát azonban csak az erdőtűz teljes leküzdése után lehet majd pontosítani. Az erdőtűz keletkezésének okát szakértők vizsgálják, egyelőre erről nem nyilatkoztak.
