Francia ügyészség nyomozást indított az ausztrál Kick videóplatform ellen, miután Raphaël Graven, más néven Jean Pormanove a platformon tartott élő közvetítés közben hunyt el – írja a BBC. A hatóságok azt vizsgálják, hogy a platform tudatában volt-e a tartalom veszélyességének, és eleget tett-e az Európai Unió digitális szolgáltatásokról szóló szabályainak.
Raphael Graven, a közösségi médiában Jean Pormanove néven ismert 46 éves férfit múlt héten találták holtan egy Nice közeli ingatlanban. Graven rendszeresen olyan videókban szerepelt, amelyekben látszólagos erőszakot és megaláztatást kellett elszenvednie.
A párizsi ügyészség közleménye szerint a vizsgálat arra terjed ki, hogy a Kick tudatosan sugárzott-e „személyi integritást szándékosan sértő tartalmakat”. A platform szóvivője megerősítette, hogy a cég tisztában van a nyomozással, és jogi tanácsot kér, ugyanakkor együttműködik a hatóságokkal.
A vizsgálat annak felderítésére is kiterjed, hogy a Kick megfelelt-e az Európai Unió digitális szolgáltatásokról szóló törvényének, amely előírja a platformok számára, hogy értesítsék a hatóságokat, ha valakinek az élete vagy biztonsága veszélyben van. Clara Chappaz francia digitális ügyekért felelős miniszter külön közleményben jelezte, hogy a kormány a platformot „gondatlanság” miatt perelné, amiért nem blokkolta a „veszélyes tartalmat”.
Gravent augusztus 18-án találták holtan.
Helyi médiumok beszámolója szerint az áldozatot a streamjei során erőszak és alvásmegvonás érte, és végül élő közvetítés közben, álmában halt meg.
A boncolás megállapította, hogy a halál nem traumából vagy harmadik fél cselekedetéből ered. A helyi rendőrség lefoglalta a videókat, és kihallgatott több szemtanút, akik a férfi halálakor jelen voltak. Korábbi rendőrségi beszélgetések alapján Graven tagadta, hogy erőszak áldozata lenne, és azt állította, hogy a történtek a figyelemfelkeltés és a bevételszerzés érdekében előre megrendezett jelenetek voltak.
Az eset kapcsán a hatóságok a platform felelősségét is vizsgálják az illegális tartalmak terjesztésében, valamint azt, hogy a közvetítések során részt vevő társkészítők valós vagy megrendezett erőszakot követtek-e el.

Izraeli erők hatoltak be az al-Dzsazíra televízió épületébe a megszállt Ciszjordániában, Ramallahban vasárnap kora reggel, élő adás közben – írja a BBC. A katonák egy része maszkot viselt, a nézők pedig élőben nézhették, hogy ahogy átadják a műsorszolgáltató 45 napra történő felfüggesztéséről szóló határozatot. A csatorna ciszjordániai irodavezetője, Válid al-Omari élő adásban olvasta fel azt.
Izrael májusban rajtaütött az al-Dzsazíra názáreti és megszállt kelet-jeruzsálemi irodáin, miután a katari székhelyű, a katari kormány által finanszírozott műsorszolgáltatót nemzetbiztonsági fenyegetésnek minősítette.
„Az újságírók ilyen módon történő célba vételének célja mindig az igazság eltörlése és annak megakadályozása, hogy az emberek meghallják az igazságot” – mondta Omari a munkáltatója által közölt megjegyzésekben.
A katonák elkobozták az utolsó mikrofont és kamerát is, illetve kiszorították Omarit az irodából – mondta Mohammad Al-Száfin, az al-Dzsazíra újságírója.
A rajtaütésről a közösségi médiában posztoló Al-Száfin elmondta, hogy a katonák leszedték Shireen Abu Aqla, a csatorna riporterének plakátját is. Őt az izraeli erők ciszjordániai rajtaütéséről tudósítva öltek meg. A csatorna és szemtanúk szerint a palesztin-amerikai riportert az izraeli erők lőtték le. Izrael kezdetben azzal érvelt, hogy egy palesztin lőtte le, hónapokkal később azonban arra a következtetésre jutott, hogy „nagy a valószínűsége” annak, hogy az egyik katonája ölte meg.
Izrael többször is terroristaszócsőnek bélyegezte a hálózatot, az Al Jazeera a vádat mindvégig tagadta.

A műsorban Sufrics nem volt hajlandó elítélni Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnököt, miután Jacenyuk azt kérdezte tőle, hogy „gyilkosnak és bűnözőnek” tartja-e az orosz elnököt. Az oroszbarát politikus azt mondta, hogy ezzel foglalkozzanak az ukrán hatóságok. Erre Porosenko úgy reagált, hogy „Itt van egy orosz ügynök a stúdióban”.

Élő adásban volt a CNN egyik brazíliai riporternője, amikor egy késsel fenyegetőző hajléktalan kirabolta – adja hírül a LadBible című brit lap nyomán a Mandiner.
Bruna Macedához akkor lépett oda a középkorú férfi, amikor a CNN Brazília riportere éppen az utóbbi napok nagy esőzései miatt megáradt Teté folyóról tudósított Sao Paulóból. A feltehetően hajléktalan férfi késsel kényszerítette a nőt arra, hogy odaadja mindkét telefonját.
Ekkor a stúdióban a hírolvasó beszélt, de a képernyőn a jelenet első része is látszott. Az operatőr azonban gyorsan kapcsolt, és egy üres utcaképet kezdett mutatni. Mire Macedo újra képernyőre került, a rabló elmenekült. A CNN közölte, hogy Bruna Macedo épségben visszatért a stúdióba, és a rablás során nem sérült meg. A támadót egyelőre nem fogták el, azóta is keresi a rendőrség.
