Lezuhant egy felhőkarcoló lakóépületről és meghalt egy francia állampolgár múlt héten Hongkongban – közölte a rendőrség hétfőn. A helyi média tudni véli, hogy Remi Lucidi francia „pókemberről” vagyis az épületekre mindenfajta biztosítás nélkül felmászó fenegyerekről van szó.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a 30 éves férfi holttestét egy épület teraszán találták meg a város Mid-Levels nevű elegáns negyedében. Hozzátették: a férfi extrém sportokat űzött, de a nevét hivatalosan nem közölték.
A hatóságok első vizsgálata alapján a férfi vélhetően az épület tetejéről esett le, de a rendőrség nem talált búcsúlevelet a helyszínen. Halálának pontos okát csak a boncolás után tudják megállapítani.
A helyi média, köztük a South China Morning Post című napilap szerint a 30 éves férfi nem más, mint Remi Lucidi. A lap egy névtelen forrása szerint Lucidit utoljára a lakóépületen egy 68. emeleti lakosztály ablakán látták bekopogni csütörtök este.
Lucidi, aki a „Remi Enigma” (Remi Rejtély) nevet használta a közösségi médiában, utoljára egy héttel ezelőtt tett közzé a mászás közben készített fényképet az éjszakai Hongkongról az Instagramon, helyszínként pedig a Causeway Bay bevásárló kerületben fekvő Times Square-t jelölte meg.
A francia mászó gyakran tett közzé fényképeket az Instagramon mászás közben, amikor a világ számos pontján fekvő magas épületekre hágott fel. Az egyik ilyen alkalommal Dubajban készített szelfinjének azt a címet adta, hogy „425 méterrel az ég felett”.

Mintegy 170 embert evakuáltak egy hongkongi bevásárlóközpontból, miután csütörtökön késő este tűz ütött ki egy 42 emeletes felhőkarcolóban – közölte a kormány.
A tűzoltók péntek kora reggel még javában küzdöttek a lángokkal, a tűzfészek a Viktória-kikötő túloldaláról is látható volt.
A szemtanúk szerint az épület felső emeleteit teljesen elborította a tűz, és a lángoló, lehulló törmelékek, köztük a bambuszállványok, kisebb tüzeket gyújtottak a szomszédos épületekben, írja a Reuters.
A tűz a 42 emeletes, befejezés előtt álló felhőkarcoló tetején keletkezett, és az állványzatot is elborította. A hatóságok szerint a tűz helyi idő szerint csütörtökön 23:11-kor ütött ki Kaulung sűrűn lakott bevásárló- és szórakozónegyedében.
A rendőrség szerint a tűz következtében hat szomszédos épület gyulladt ki, de a lángokat sikerült eloltani. Áldozatokról egyelőre nem érkezett hír.
A kigyulladt 42 emeletes felhőkarcoló átadására nem kellett volna sokat várni; az épület részét képezi az Empire Group fejlesztőcég 6 milliárd hongkongi dollár (764 millió dollár) értékű újjáépítési projektjének, írja az al-Dzsazíra pánarab hírtelevízió.

Hétfő éjjel tűz ütött ki egy 35 emeletes felhőkarcoló Dubajban, a Burdzs Kalifa közelében. Számtalan felvétel lepte el az internetet az esetről.
Hatalmas tűz ütött ki Dubaj belvárosában, ahol a világ legmagasabb épülete, a Burzds Kalifa mellett gyulladt ki egy 35 emeletes felhőkarcoló hétfő hajnalban. A tüzet néhány óra alatt sikerült eloltani, de az épület homlokzatát igencsak megtépázta az eset, fekete szénnyomok borították a felhőkarcolót.
A The Independent beszámolója szerint arról egyelőre nincs információ, hogy voltak-e sérültjei a tűzesetnek. A lap szerint nem ez az első eset az utóbbi időben, hogy egy felhőkarcoló kigyulladjon, ami komoly kérdéseket vet fel az épületek biztonságosságát illetően.

Szeptember közepén szintén egy hasonló esetről írunk, akkor a közép-kínai Csangsa városában ütött ki tűz egy felhőkarcolóban.
