Litván hatóságok lelepleztek egy terrorhálózatot, amely futárszolgálatokon keresztül küldött robbanóanyagokat Európa-szerte. A nyomozás szerint orosz katonai hírszerzéshez köthető személyek szervezték az akciót – tudósított a LRT litván portál.



A litván főügyészség és a bűnügyi rendőrség szerdán közölte, hogy egy 1973-as születésű litván állampolgár július 19-én négy csomagot adott fel Vilniusból DHL és DPD futárszolgálatokon keresztül.






A küldemények masszázspárnákban és kozmetikai tubusokban elrejtett házi készítésű gyújtószerkezeteket tartalmaztak, amelyeket termittel – egy ipari és katonai célokra használt rendkívül gyúlékony anyaggal – töltöttek meg.



Két csomagot légi úton az Egyesült Királyságba, kettőt pedig közúton Lengyelországba indítottak. Az egyik szerkezet július 20-án robbant fel a lipcsei repülőtéren, mielőtt egy DHL teherszállító járatra pakolták volna. Egy másik július 21-én detonált egy Lengyelországon áthaladó DPD teherautóban, a harmadik pedig július 22-én egy birminghami DHL raktárban. A negyedik műszaki hiba miatt nem aktiválódott.



A hatóságok szerint a szerkezeteket úgy tervezték, hogy súlyos tüzeket okozzanak, potenciálisan katasztrofális következményekkel.



Az ügyben az Eurojust koordinálásával közös nyomozócsoport dolgozik, amelyben Litvánia, Lengyelország, az Egyesült Királyság, Németország, Hollandia, Lettország, Észtország, az Egyesült Államok és Kanada bűnüldöző és hírszerző ügynökségei vesznek részt.



A nyomozók szerint az akciót orosz állampolgárok szervezték és koordinálták, akik kapcsolatban állnak az orosz katonai hírszerzéssel. A gyanúsítottak közül néhányan egy 2024. május 9-i, vilniusi IKEA áruház ellen tervezett gyújtogatási kísérlethez is köthetők.



Eddig tizenöt gyanúsítottat – orosz, litván, lett, észt és ukrán állampolgárokat – vádoltak meg. Az ügyészség szerint a Telegram üzenetküldő alkalmazáson keresztül toborozták őket, kriptovalutában ígértek fizetést, és szigorú titoktartás mellett működtek.



A Litvániában, Lengyelországban, Lettországban és Észtországban végrehajtott házkutatások során további, konzervdobozokban elrejtett robbanóanyagokat és detonátorokat találtak. A hatóságok szerint a több mint hat kilogramm TNT-nek megfelelő készlet további támadásokra szolgálhatott volna.

Két gyújtóbomba robbant csütörtök reggel Athén központjában a szabadkőművesek nagypáholya előtt, az anyagi kár csekély, az esetnek nincsenek áldozatai – számoltak be a hatóságok.



Helyi idő szerint reggel fél hét körül egy ismeretlen telefonált a rendőrségre, és arra figyelmeztetett, hogy gyújtószerkezetek lépnek működésbe – közölte a rendőrség.






A területet azonnal nagy létszámú rendőri erők és terrorelhárító szakemberek zárták le.



A terrorelhárítás bejelentette, hogy ilyen műveletekre specializálódott kutyával vizsgálják át az épületet, és két robbanószerkezetet találtak.



Egyelőre senki sem vállalta a felelősséget a történtekért.



Görögországban évek óta visszatérő jelenség a középületek, rádió- és televízióállomások, bankok és diplomáciai képviseletek elleni támadások. Ezek elkövetésének hátterében általában a szélsőbaloldali mozgalmak vagy görög anarchistákat állhatnak.
