Több orosz hadihajó
mozgását követte az elmúlt időszakban a brit királyi haditengerészet
Nagy-Britannia partjainak közelében – közölte az MTI.
A Royal Navy csütörtöki közleményének megfogalmazása szerint
az időközben véget ért, más NATO-szövetségesek által is támogatott koncentrált
megfigyelési művelet előzményeként „szokatlanul magas szintű aktivitás” volt
tapasztalható az orosz haditengerészet részéről a La Manche-csatorna és az
Északi-tenger vizein.
Az egyhetes művelet során a brit haditengerészet kilenc
hajója követett több orosz hadihajót, és a megfigyelésbe helikopterek is
bekapcsolódtak.
A fotókkal kiegészített beszámoló szerint a megfigyelt orosz
hadihajók között három korvett, két partraszállító hajó és két fregatt volt,
több kiszolgáló hajóval együtt.
A brit haditengerészet csütörtöki tájékoztatása szerint az
egyik brit fregatt Merlin típusú helikoptere számos alkalommal átrepült a
csatornán áthaladó orosz hadihajók felett hírszerzési célú adatgyűjtés
céljából.
A beszámoló nem említi, hogy az orosz hadihajók megsértették
volna a brit területi vizeket.
