A mentők nem tudják, hány ember van még a romok alatt, és azt sem, hogy mi okozhatta a robbanást a városközponttól nem messze található épületben.
Az AFP francia hírügynökség tudósítója a helyszínen arról számolt be, hogy több tucat tűzoltóautó küzd a lángokkal a földön, valamint a magasból daruról. Törmelék borítja az utcát, és több másik ház ablaka betört. Hatalmas füstoszlopok emelkednek az égbe, és szúrós szag terjengett a levegőben.
A Regio15 helyi média szerint több embert már kimentettek. Négy sérültet kórházba kellett szállítani – közölte a tűzoltóság. A város polgármestere, Jan van Zanen a helyszínre érkezett, hogy koordinálja a mentési munkát.

Az Extinction Rebellion (XR) klímavédelmi csoport aktivistái szombaton látványosan lezártak egy Hágán átvezető fő autópályát, tiltakozásul a holland fosszilis tüzelőanyagok több milliárd eurós támogatása ellen.
A demonstráció egybeesett a nyugdíjak miatti rendőrségi sztrájkkal, és bár a rendőrség jelen volt, nem avatkozott be.
Számos aktivista egyhetes menetet szervezett a Hollandia keleti részén fekvő Arnhemből, az esemény csúcspontja a Hágát kiszolgáló A12-es autópálya lezárása volt.
Az XR szerint néhány tüntető azt tervezte, hogy a rendőrség hiányát kihasználva az autópálya alagútjaiban éjszakázik. Rozemarijn van ‘t Einde, a mozgalom szóvivője azt mondta:
„Visszajövünk, amíg a támogatásokat el nem törlik”. Ehhez még hozzátette, hogy a támogatások összege évi 39,7 és 46,4 milliárd euró között van.
A hatóságok nem zárták ki annak lehetőségét, hogy az aktivisták biztonsága érdekében az autópálya nagyobb szakaszait lezárják a forgalom elől.
Az XR rendszeresen célba veszi az A12-es autópályát, és a rendőrség gyakran több száz tüntetőt vesz őrizetbe.
A csoport szerint a szombati blokádja a legnagyobb „a 2022. július 6-i első blokád óta, de az éghajlati és ökológiai válság súlyossága indokolja az ilyen kellemetlenségeket”.
David van Weel holland igazságügyi miniszter azt mondta, hogy a rendőrség „mindig vészhelyzetben cselekszik, még a munkabeszüntetések során is”. Szerinte „némileg ironikus”, hogy a tüntetők a hatóságokat sürgetik, hogy gondoskodjanak a biztonságukról, miközben elítélik a „tekintélyelvű” politikát.

Korábban a védelmi minisztérium épületére vörös festéket öntöttek, tiltakozva az ellen, hogy Hollandia F-35-ös vadászgépek alkatrészeit szállítja Izraelnek.

Mindkét irányban lezárták a Hágába vezető A12-es autópályát szombat délután az Extinction Rebellion aktivistái. A fosszilis tüzelőanyagok kormányzati támogatása ellen tiltakozva néhányan az úttestre ragasztották vagy egymáshoz láncolták magukat. A rendőrség láncfűrésszel választotta el őket, és állítólag kóla segítségével oldotta fel a ragasztást.
Több mint ezren városon át vezető autópálya aluljárója felett támogatták a blokádot – írja az MTI. A rendőrség kora délután kezdte meg a tüntetők eltávolítását, a letartóztatottakat buszokkal vitték el, és sportcsarnokokban helyezték el őket.
A nu.nl cikke szerint összesen 768 tüntetőt tartóztattak le.
Az autópályát csak vasárnap kora reggel nyitották meg, miután az utolsó, oszlopra felmászott aktivistát is eltávolították a helyszínről.
Az Extinction Rebellion Twitter-oldalán azt írták, hogy a hatóságok „aránytalan erőbevetéssel” léptek fel a tüntetők ellen, és négy újságírót is letartóztattak. A hatóságok szerint a sajtó munkatársait letartóztatásuk után a „lehető leghamarább” elengedték. A rendőrség közleménye szerint a letartóztatások „csendesen és békésen zajlottak”, jelenleg folyik az őrizetbe vett emberek azonosítása. Az Amnesty International ugyanakkor úgy látja, több esetben azonban nem volt világos, hogy a tüntetőket milyen alapon vitték el a rendőrök.

A holland fővárosban, Hágában, a rendőrség pénteken több tucat kurd aktivistát tartóztatott le, akik engedély nélkül hatoltak be a Vegyifegyver-tilalmi Szervezet (OPCW) főépületébe, hogy a tiltakozzanak a török hadsereg által állítólagosan alkalmazott vegyi fegyverek ellen – jelentette pénteken a helyi sajtó.
A hágai rendőrség szerint egy kurd csoport negyven-ötven aktivistájáról van szó, akik előre bejelentett demonstrációt tartottak a hágai önkormányzatnál. Az OPCW területére azonban illegálisan léptek be, ezért őrizetbe vették őket.
A Kurdisztáni Munkáspárt (PKK) csütörtökön közleményt adott ki, amelyben azt állította, hogy Törökország ismételten vegyi fegyvereket vetett be észak-iraki kurd célpontok ellen, és felkérte OPCW-t a vélelmezett helyzet kivizsgálására.
Ankara cáfolta, hogy vegyi fegyvereket használna a PKK-val fennálló konfliktusában. A PKK-t egyébként többek között az Egyesült Államok, Törökország és 2002 májusa óta az Európai Unió is terrorszervezetnek tekinti.
Törökország az elmúlt években számos alkalommal indított határon átnyúló támadást a PKK észak-iraki bázisai ellen. A szervezet 1984 óta kisebb-nagyobb megszakításokkal háborúban áll Törökországgal. A konfliktusban eddig több tízezren veszették életüket.

Hollandiában káosz uralkodik, mióta a kormány bejelentette a legújabb korlátozásokat. A döntés szerint a fedett szórakozóhelyekre csak olyan személyek léphetnek be, akiknek van védettségi igazolványuk.
A plasztikkártyát pedig azok is megkaphatják, akiket nem oltottak be, de a vírustesztjük eredménye negatív. A hollandok utcára vonultak, ami odáig fajult, hogy a tüntetők kocsikat gyújtottak fel és a rendőrökre támadtak.
Az összecsapások Hágában, a holland kormány székhelyének a közelében folytatódtak szombat este. Több százan támadtak rá ismét a rendőrökre, kavicsokkal és más tárgyakkal dobálták meg az egyenruhásokat. A demonstrálók felgyújtották az útjukba kerülő bicikliket is. Legalább egy embert őrizetbe vettek – írta az MTI.

A rendőrség közleménye szerint, több ezren gyűltek össze vasárnap délután a harmadik legnagyobb holland városban, hogy a kormány távolságtartást előíró intézkedése ellen tüntessenek, annak ellenére, hogy a hatóságok nem engedélyezték számukra a gyülekezést.
A rendőrség a Twitteren azt írta, körülbelül 400 embert vettek őrizetbe a vasárnapi nap folyamán, ám a legtöbbjüket azóta elengedték.
A Reuters értesülései szerint a tiltás ellenére a hatóságok végül engedélyeztek egy rövid demonstrációt, majd megkérték a tüntetőket, hogy távozzanak. A demonstrálók „Legyen vége a korlátozásoknak!” feliratú pólókban, és a kormány által előírt 1,5 méteres távolságtartás eltörlésére felszólító táblákkal jelentek meg.
